No Dejagah, Diarra or Sidwell who are out for the rest of the season for one reason or another. Mesca and Davies injured and Riether is still doubtful. However Duff and Frimpong are back. So said Jol in today’s press conference.

Damien is the obvious good news. Otherwise I doubt if we’ll see much of a change and Richardson being given another chance. The likely starting line-up therefore is -

    ……………..Schwarzer…………..
    ..Manolev..Senderos..Hangeland..Richardson..
    ………..Enoh…………Kara…..
    ..Duff………..Ruiz…………………..Kaca..
    ………………..Berbatov…..

Yeah I'd go with that, perhaps give Kaca a run in the latter stages.

I still can't get over the fact we just haven't had a settled team at all this season through injuries etc. It would have made a difference I think. Anyway, my thoughts are to get a couple of youngsters in and give them a taster. You never know!

Agreed, Craving, this hasn't helped at all and we may be in a better position if we'd not had niggling injuries/suspensions.

Get what you're saying but suspensions and injuries are unfortunately part of the parcel that is football, every team has to deal with these. Where we have excelled however, is replacing those who have left on transfers/injured/suspended players with loan signing such as Enoh, Urby and Riether. Is there another manager in the league that uses the loan market to such an effect as Jol does?

Quite agree. He is brilliant at that aspect and doesn't get the credit he is due in the media. Unlike 'Arry.

I think the Samba deal has begun to show people that Arry's transfer nous is not all it seems.

A bit of trivia . David Moyes was 50 last week and Everton are celebrating the 50 years anniversary of their title-winning season in 62/63 when a 4-1 against us clinched the title for them. As well as parading some old boys they’ll be playing a series of 60s hits before the game.

On that day (11th May 1963), the Beatles were at no.1 (From Me to You), with Gerry and the Pacemakers at no.2 (I Like It), then Ned Miller (From a Jack to a King) and the likes of Frank Ifield, Andy Williams, Roy Orbison knocking around the top ten.

For Fulham, the 1962/63 season was not a million miles from this year - blighted by injuries, sitting down the bottom at the turn of the year, then a rally before another mini-dip and finishing in 16th position (there were 22 teams in the League then). Eddie Lowe had his own celebration playing his final and 474th game for the club that year. Changed days - in recognition of the great service he gave to the Club, the Supporters Club presented him with a Canteen of Cutlery !

The big difference with Fulham this year is that our away form is the best in many a time; 3 wins and 7 draws. So it’s time to break the Goodison jinx and dent today’s celebrations.

Lol! So good you posted it 5 times! :)

They are indeed part and parcel but that doesn't make them any less of a pain in the arse... Agreed on the loan signings, Big Mart's done well in that respect.

Okay so Berba had to go off, where was our Plan B? Again the wrong substitutions.

That said we looked 'pointless' throughout despite a wee shove in the final few minutes. And I'm afraid Bryan did my head in.

A very much 'nothing' game. Didn't expect an awful lot considering our God-awful record at Goodison. Why wasn't Rodallega brought on earlier, or even in place of Berbatov? What has he done to upset Jol? Ruiz is getting on my tits too 58. If Twente make us an offer £8m+ I think we should take it. This is his second season here and has he improved tenfold? Dembele had a shaky first season here, but it shouldn't take a player more than two years to adjust to the PL.

For me yesterday a lot of players were playing in their comfort Zone.
The extra effort to get back into the game wasn't there.

Is it time to give a few youngsters a chance and say show us what you can do,
let's get some enthusiasm back into the team, and may be it will spread to the others
in the team, and stop them going through the motions.
I think we still need to beat Reading next weekend to say no chance of a last
    minute panic.

Couldn't agree more with that. Don't know about you but I am looking at the bottom of the table and who is behind us rather than above us. 3 more points on Sat should do the job.
