Of course it works, I'm a veritable poetic genius. You tw(a)tfish ..................... (officially licenced Matth-ism)
So many are saying they'd prefer the tackle, which is a lie, and of course it's people who don't play football either for a team or for a living that are saying this nonsense, remember he didn't even break Ivans skin Swarbs, it was not a tyson bite after all, just wanting to get at Ivan and yeah, not excusable but 10 games, the ban in Holland, he served it, the FA have no right to use that in deciding this ban Robbbie Savage makes a few good points.. If Rooney had received a 10 game ban for his elbow, or for the kick in the WC qualifier there would have been serious outcry and as it was the FA went and defended Rooney and got the ban reduced, they do not like Johnny Foreigner. Ben Thatcher, rightly so it should have been reviewed but 8 games for nearly killing a player and not in the Fergie context, Mendez could have actually died from that http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22303240
It's funny though isn't it? Grown men defending a **** like Suarez and making him bigger than the club. Is this what you expected when you jumped on the Liverpool bandwagon? Probably not. I ****ing love it!
BBF, what are your thoughts on the ban Rio Ferdinand got for missing a drugs test? Surely it should have been no more than a £2k fine?
I don't think the Johnny Foreigner comment holds much water tbh - remember the FA banned their own player for eight months for missing a drugs test, which was longer than Mutu got for failing a drugs test whilst coked up! And Barton got 12 games for kicking Tevez, after Tevez tried to punch him and got off scot free. Also don't forget Rooney is the only player in history to be banned for swearing on a football field, despite the evidence that pretty much every other player has done so on numerous occasions, usually to the ref or to their opponents. The fundamental problem is that the FA is incredibly reactionary and media driven. They're always scared of the talking heads in the **** rages having a go at them for being too lenient, particularly for incidents which occurred in televised games where the footage is there for all to see. Pretty much everyone in the country accepts Rooney would have gotten away with swearing into the camera had it not been the televised lunchtime game on Sky, and pretty much everyone in the country would accept that had it been anyone else biting Ivanovic (other than another serial offender like Barton), it would have been three games and a slap on the wrist, maybe five or six cos the incident was televised live. But Suarez has the history and the profile, and the history of extremely insincere 'apologies' that show no remorse whatsoever. So the FA feels the public pressure to react, and reacts.
You can add to that the FA giving Rooney a four game premier league ban for getting sent off in the pre season Amsterdam tournament. A friendly. They definitely did that because of who he is and have subsequently never done similar. They then complained that he wasn't match fit when the next set of internationals came round! So, when he then gets sent off in a full international they try to get that can REDUCED so he can play in the summer tournament. No doubt they're idiots, no doubt. They got this one 100% correct though, he deserves every game.
What with the FA and PL both run by Utd fans, donga probably used his boundless legal knowledge to advise Suarez his ban would be increased to 80 games on appeal
If the Suarez biting incident had been spotted by the referee, the little scrote would have been sent off, and more than likely Chelsea would have gone away with the three points. Bearing in mind that the 2 remaining champions league places are being fought out by Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal, if at the end of the season, Chelsea miss out by 1 point, then the blatant foul that was missed by the referee could cost Chelsea 30 million in lost TV revenue. Considering his previous biting incident, and the Evra racist charge, the petualant little creep got off lightly with 10 matches.
I have gone on record as saying I don't want Luis to be voted player of the year. But comments like this... ...makes me hope he does win it.
