If Lester win Friday I just want a couple of questions asked in the post match interview..

" Nigel great result. You said when you went to Hull City there was a lot of work to be done with limited resources but ultimatly you wanted to get them back to the Premiership... How does it feel to have achieved it? Do you think you still qualify for a bonus from the Allams?

Now Big Niges' answer could for once be interesting and possibly worth my Sky Sports subscription...... for the year!!

I think this is overly harsh on Taylor. We weren't pretty, but we were bloody effective. I'd also say Allsop and BBB were the best 'true striker partnership' of my entire City watching career. The 4-2 destruction of top of the league Oxford who had conceded about 10 all season up until then was one of the truly great games.

    You're hallucinating.

Fettis and Richard Peacock were much better.

(Did you never see Billy and Keith?)

Yep, had an ace 6 months but essentially took us to mid-table.

Hardly their fault with Sumo Hesford in goal.

Keith got the Golden Boot that season even though we barely avoided relegation.

I maintain Burgess was a slow, ponderous, weak streak of piss who had the good fortune to be playing for the biggest club in the division.

Allsopp too was crap in the air, not fast, not aggressive.

I'm surprised we even got up with these two. No wonder Elliot had to score all the goals.

I don't. It's quite clear he needs the 3 points for Leicester to finish in the Top 6.

The thought of him wanting/not wanting to ultimately send City to the Premier League is just thought up bullshit by those still bitter from Nige.

Every time we went 1-0 up, we moved all eleven players into defence and don't get me started on corners...

I have seen plenty of times since - under Brown, Barmby and yes indeed Bruce - when we have brought all 11 back for corners. It just only got mentioend when it was Taylor. I agree he did have defensive tendencies though. The contant picking of Roland Edge or Damo at left back ahead of Daws was testament to this.

He insisted on everyone being in the box while we defended corners, so every time we cleared it, it just came back again. Mental.
