Cant remember if Ive asked on here before but what happens on a telephone interview? Just been told ill be getting a call on Monday that will last 30 minutes! what the hell can they talk about for that long..........

They are difficult as they record them to listen back to, so whenever I've had one take a few minutes to compose yourself and relax. They are listening for mmmm's and aaarrr' sort of things if you know what I mean
First of all shiny that's a positive and a preliminary action to consider you for a face to face interview, if it's an agency staff member interviewing you, they are screening you to see if you are a worthy candidate for an interview with the possible employer, if it's a direct tele-con interview with a prospective employer, you are being judged directly on your personality, attitude and aptitude for the advertised vacancy, if the last one is the case it would pay you to be confident, direct, honest and very upfront as these people are very skilled in their techniques but I am sure you are aware of that, this could lead to a first face to face.. Cheers lads. Actually I would say one of my weak points is talking on the phone. Don't know why but I would much rather just have a face to face interview. I had to fill out a summary of my self. Then I had to complete 2 tests. Then a telephone interview, Then if successful a face to face then after that a practical assessment
Nah but it would keep me in the country. At the moment its a win win. I only apply for good jobs which will get me somewhere and if I fail then I move to Australia in september

Good luck Shiny. If they've put you through all that already they must be interested. Get comfortable, sound confident, be honest and polite...don't try to be funny....if they take you - good, if they don't it wasn't the job for you.
Tiger the way they handled the whole racial issue with "king"kenny was genuinly appaling.. Brendan Rodgers is coming out with the tripe "banning the player not the incident" making out like they're the victims in this whole mess..
