Its quite funny how they are trying to drag Man United into it to try and justify what he done lol

bollox, Ben Thatcher got 8 for what he did and the ref saw that incident so letting defoe off was no excuse, I thought 7 games would have been about right tbh, 3 was never gonna happen, 10 is too many.

agreed. we don't need a player with his attitude in this league.

its even funny how some Liverpool fan still backs him up about the racist matter and the bite. I read a article last week about his grandmother's view on the racist part and she says "he did not mean it because in their country its a friendly word and they are allowed to say it so he should of not been given that ban" something like this, when i read them comments i cannot believe it, just because that word is allowed him his country it doesn't mean it is allowed in here,he's living in UK not Uruguay, he can'g go saying that word 8 times and then pinch his skin to make things worse. he was lucky with 8, i still think he should of had like 12 or 15 games ban for that.

and then the bite, what on earth is wrong with him? why would he go biting a player like he's a monster. a very good player, its a shame his attitude stinks.

    the guy got some issues.

he fully deserves this ban. i wouldn't worry if Liverpool sells him too, they should of sold him last summer. he's just damaging their status and causing them unnecessary problems. if he was at united under Sir Alex, he wouldn't even last a week.

That's cos Thatcher's was a vicious assault that left Mendes in hospital. If Defoe had eaten half of Mascherano's arm then that argument might hold even the slightest bit of water. As it is, the situation with Defoe and Suarez is no different from Gerrard and Rooney getting away with elbows that were seen by the ref when Rio got a four match ban.

As for the ban, I also think it's quite harsh and fairly arbitrary, but as with all high profile offenders the FA just wants to look tough and not have the usual talking heads saying they are weak. Same happened to Cantona, Rio, Barton and Suarez last season. And with the Dutch FA already banning him for seven games for the same offence, 7 + 3 was probably the minimum the FA would ever realistically impose.

The 10 match ban was lenient. Suarez the rat got away with a slap on the wrist. His club didn't even ban him.

I wish the club appeals and keep this episode in the spotlight. The chairman of the Scousers supporters said he hopes the club just accepts the punishment and let this issue die down.

An appeal would keep the issue hot and get every neutral fan against them. They obviously haven't Learnt their lesson from the Evra incident, when supporting the scumbag dragged their name into the gutter. <laugh>

I was hoping Liverpool would themselves punish him seriously, it was their chance to show that no player is greater than the club. Also a chance to right the wrongs of Dalglish. But again, they seem to ignore the reality of the situation and are looking too desperate to not displease their superstar player.

Any decent club would have punished him seriously and made it clear that his action was unacceptable and while he is a valued player he was not bigger than the club itself.

What did they do? They fined him about £250k a pittance for him. And sent out a mealy mouth statement about the act being unacceptable. And instead of condemning the player for wasting 10 matches they condemn the FA for their 'severe' punishment.

The initial statement by rat face ( no doubt condoned by the club) in saying he disagreed with the FA in deserving only 3 match ban was crass in the extreme. It showed that the player and club were just not sincere in their original statements.

The best they can do is to quietly accept the punishment but knowing how stupid and self destructive they are they will probably appeal ( with no chance of success) and drag the name of their miserable club further into the gutter. And after all that rat face will desert the sinking ship anyway...<ok>

Great to see the childish ******ed squeaming...<laugh> the low IQ of the scousers is just unbelievable. Their reasoning is no better than a 7 year old...

I really hope that they appeal and Suarez stays with them. Can you imagine: regular bans, regular controversies,. How can you expect to build a team around such a player?

They will call for a statue of Suarez next or the Suarez Stand. Great fun for all of us..<laugh>

Rodgers on Suarez after the bite incident, outcry and punishment by FA; "He has not let me down one bit."

    Brilliant. FFS.

I wonder what excuse Liverpool fans will come up with the next time Suarez disgraces himself.

How many times does he have to act like a complete ****tard before they stop defending him?

That link is really funny. Every one of the posters calls the FA for banning him yet none say Suarez is a twat for putting himself and the club in this position.!!!

I do love all their desperate "so biting is worse than racism" logic. This coming from the same fans who last season were going to such lengths to argue that the FA agreed Suarez wasn't racist and hadn't intended to be racist when abusing Evra <laugh>

Also ignores the fact that in a court of law the maximum penalty for Terry's racially aggravated public order offence was a £2,500 fine, whereas ABH carries a maximum prison sentence of three years <whistle>

(sung to the tune of "The wheels of the bus go round and round")

And the vein in the head goes throb-throb-throb, throb-throb-throb, throb-throb-throb...
