Thinking of doing a Matth and getting the board circulated with dull pointless threads. "What's our strongest 11?" Always produces some tantalizing debate.
No, he just wins you mean, as he just unfurls his list of honours & at that point you're ****ed. It's like a repetitive check mate move, he just pulls them out when you think you've got him & kaboom, you're done
No all he does is prattle on backing himself into a corner then when he loses he insults your intelligence and starts talking like yoda and using fancy words...thats when you know you've won.. Anyway he's banned himself so dont want to be seen to be slagging the old fella..
Has he? I didn't see a thread. Has anyone PM'd him? dropped him an e-mail? sent him a letter? asked about him down the Post office? called his carer? alerted the coastguard? You can't be too careful, the poor old lad might have had a fall or something.
I'm not to sure what he wrote warranted the reaction he received. It didn't need saying but part of the problem now is that nobody can mention Hillsborough or munich even with it not being derogatory with it getting people's back up. There will always be one or two that take it too far but I don't think either event should be so taboo it can't be mentioned at all. What he said wasn't needed but neither was it derogitory either or worthy of a ban . Obviously only my opinion
Comparing the two situations and suggesting that we are undoing the work that we have done in regards to Hillsborough was out of order but maybe explaining that would have been better, however I did try to explain why what he said was a problem and have added something to the thread on the Sunderland board. I don't think it's taboo to bring the subject up but in any way connecting these two instances may cause offence.
I disagree. There is a thread on the front page about the investigation into Hillsborough. That is clearly a suitable context for discussion. An opposition fan bringing it up out of nowhere in a thread about Suarez is likely to be inappropriate and the mods (Bluff) handled it well.
Think Gerrez is taking the next step! Just glad he disappeared, wasn't feeling like another battle today!
He was looking for a bite, not having anyone using Hillsborough, Heysel, Munich, etc for point scoring. In response to the rest, I agree its a touchy subject but its always going to spark ill feelings at some point whether the intention is to discuss it appropriately or not. However, if someone does want to discuss that in that midst of a Suarez thread is not the time nor place, especially when there is a Hillsborough thread on the front page
Like I said though it wasn't needed what he said but I've seen far worse over time on here go unpunished. I don't think it was massively offensive but I can see why it did offend some. However gerrez says he's been at it all week so fair enough. My point was more to do with our and your fans reactions to the mere mention of Munich or Hillsborough. Not meaning to cause any offense to anyone though, obviously.
