Klinsman (1994 Spurs) K Keegan( Soton) Beckham, Ronaldo, Fabrigas, Cantona. From our players 'Pop' robson was a fantastic striker and Chris turner the best SAFC goaly since Monty.Thats why we need to be in the champions league, and with P O D you never know!.

Will never forget the late, great George Best jinking down the wing at Roker Park, or Ryan Giggs, probably one of THE best modern day footballers.

The one where he scored in the 90th minute and got the ovation, last year?

That same Henry performance as has been mentioned, incredible.

He remembered the ovation himself and gave us one back, the man was utter class, every way, every department.

Paul Mcgrath, Paul Scholes, dalglish and Rush. Best performance I ever saw from a centre forward was actually WAyne Entwistle on a blanket of snow. Unfortunately, he wasn't quite as good on the grass.

At the very top of a long list quite a few already mentioned.

    Has to be George Best.
You could see he enjoyed playing football and would probably have done it for nowt!
He enjoyed taking the piss and played the game as we all would like to play it ourselves, with flair and having fun.

Also he could do everything in the game, head, shoot, dribble and could put in very good tackles.
I have never and I mean NEVER seen any other player that could ride a tackle like he could, and still keep control of the ball.

Horrible to admit but I have to say Shearer is the best visiting centre forward I have seen play at the SOL. Maybe not in the games he played there but in his career overall. What a shame he wasted the best years of his playing days with that ****e, could of had 6 league titles and a couple of Champion Leagues if he had went to Man Utd when he should have done.

Hope to see him back as a manager in a few years time for Paolo to rape.

1st game I saw at Roker Park 6th September 1967, in Fulwell end on a Wednesday night vs Man U.

    George Best and Bobby Charlton

50,000 plus crowd, sharing tabs with lads & lasses I'd never met before, hooked ever since (managed to give the tabs up though)
