    No obviously not. If we sign players of this calibre we can get in the top 10 and potentially challenge for Europe. If we keep the squad we have now, top 10 is still possible!

    Yes but mines not I'm deadly serious.

    if we sell Barton and Enrique how many quality players do you think we would need to break into the top 10?????

    3. Left back, right winger and striker. If we keep them two, then a new striker.

    We had loads of injuries this year and we were in the top then if it wasn't for a last minute goal! Obviously I want more than what I have stated, but surely it isn't hard to see that with a few shrewd signings we have a good chance of challenging Europe. We already have two new signings in HBA and Gosling, just show a bit of delusion!

    Dude, we've had some of the worst injury problems in the league this year and it only really showed at the end

    Lets look at it this way...everybody stays and we sign a new striker, lets say Sturridge. This would be our starting eleven...

    Harper/Krul/Forster

    Simpson
    Saylor
    Colo
    Jose

    Barton
    Tiote
    Nolan
    Jonas

    HBA

    Sturridge



    That is good enough to get top 10 easily, stop being negative!

    One striker really would make all the difference (and replacing Barton and/or Enrique if they leave), the number of points we've dropped this year because the likes of Shola cant take chances cost us about 10 points IMO.

    Exactly! I would obviously like to sign two strikers, a winger and at least one defender as well, but as a minimum and with a bit of luck with injuries one striker would do the job!

    Thats one player, plus replacing the ones we lose so a total of three players in, two players out. Thats a net one player in <doh>

    And we will not get as many injuries as this season anyway.

    4 players is ideal but one striker alone would be a massive squad improvement.
