Click on your control panel button top right of the page, there you will find a list of the last five people to have given you rep!

There is no point as such - its a sort of competition to see who can get the most reps - sort of defeats the real purpose of repping what you thiink is a good post - but that is pointless really anyway - so just fun for those who are competitive - like me !!

If you go to the top right of your screen you will see somehting that says control panel - click to open and below it will tell you the last five people to have repped you. They each give you the number of points on their rep power - so get friendly with H and she will give you a big one :)

I have just cut the grass in front of my elderly neighbour's house. He came out and thanked me.

Must be a similar idea. ;)
 
what a great start to the thread, well done everyone <ok>

just like to add a few points for people who are unsure how it works
you can rep 10 people in 24 hours but you must rep 20 different people before you can rep the same person again

when you rep somebody they gain 1% of your rep power
so if you have 1000 rep power they will gain 10 points
if you have 350,000 like me then somebody will gain 3,500 points

neg rep should be avoided but it takes away 0.5% from somebody
