    No it isn't? People just jumped to that conclusion. The mystery midfielder will be an actual international, and if it goes through will actually be announced by the club.

    It's up on BBC now although they're just regurgitating what SSN have said. I hope it is another Steven Taylor situation, it's not on agents behaving like this before the club has said anything. If he wants to offer his opinion after the club make the announcement then fine but it all seems very stirring to be saying something without confimation from the club. Still, it's been a little while since the powers that be at the club put their foot in it, a few nerves amongst the fans are understandable, regardless of whether these are rumours or a little more substantial.

    As a reasonable person I have to say it wasn't like this in my day when there was National Service, the death penalty and all this was fields as far as the eye could see.

    If he won't sign then send him to the Army! Then hang him and bury him in a field.

    Burn the agent and smite the owner. Salt his children.

    There is no Joey Barton issue. The agent wants more money which he will eventually get and that is all it is. Not to mention sky sports are reporting it, who are probably more unreliable than the sun or the daily mail. Probably took the quotes from the agent out of context and added in some bullshit. Until Joey Barton himself says that he will defiantly not under any circumstances be offered a new contract or until the club publish this on the official web site, there is absolutely no truth whatsoever in any of this bollocks.
