Assuming Hull take second who would you like to come up through the play offs? My preferred option would be Brighton, a good club growing organically playing good football with a good manager. However my more cynical side would prefer Watford to come up. A squad built on loanees is no basis for a prolonged stay in the Premiership and Watford, imo, would be a shoo in for one of the relegation slots making our survival (hoping I am not getting ahead of myself) that much easier.
Watford have a wealthy owner who also owns Udinese and Granada. I could see them producing a good team their loans are largely from Udinese so it will be easier for them to extend the loans or get new players in.
I would like Palace to come up just because the premier league is a duller place without Holloway! For reasons of failure again and going straight back down probably Forest or Leicester.
2nd auto spot to Hull I would think now Would be good to see Brighton back after so many years. No to Palace from me, we can't beat them - ever!!!!! (or not often enough) Watford is never an easy away trip either but wouldn't mind seeing them up again. Beyond that - no preference.
What with Cardiff already promoted and Hull virtually promoted, are there any other clubs managed by former Norwich players?
personally i think however comes up will struggle, there is no Southampton or West Ham this year. i don't want Watford either, i don't like the fact they are being bankrolled. So Hull in second. Brighton for me in the playoffs, they've not been in the PL before and have a great manager and stadium. If not them, Notts Florist, great club with a good history and top ground.
For Norwich away supporters sake, Cardiff is a fair trot so Watford and Palace might be easier on the travelling. That is the only criteria I can think of.
I think Watford could struggle with the loan rules being tighter in the Prem, but I guess there's little to stop the owner organising a transfer for £1, with a £2 buy-back clause. I think it'd be nice to see Brighton come up (although it would kill any move for Bridcutt), but really I'd just want the weakest team possible.
We had a loan player from you so thanks for that, most would be happy if we got him on a permanent deal. It wont really matter who joins us being promoted we still have to win as many games as we can. jck
Choice would be Brighton but not Leicester as having grown up with loads of their fans I love being a division above them (preferably more)
Or Swansea, think they travel the most in the top Flight Yeah Plymouth or Carlisle must do the most Miles
Brighton or Palace would both be decent for me in terms of games I can get to. Bolton, though, I think might be the team that comes through as the form side - and I wouldn't be too disappointed with that, we did alright against them last season and I think they'll be among the weaker sides in the Prem.
For me i'd rather not see Palace or Forest come up. Simply because they've been bogey sides in the past. Times change I suppose but really assuming we make it thru this season we should have confidence against all 3 promoted teams this time around. (Listen to me sounding like a proper Premier League team fan disrespecting the teams coming up)!!
Mark Robins at Huddersfield, not that they are in the promotion mix. Phelan to replace Ferguson at Manure?
