Boris: On your comments on Dortmund above. It's always been that way with Bayern. They sit back and nab Germany's star players who have been nurtured by other clubs here when very young. However, I do believe Bayern had this Götze fellow in some kind of contract deal a while ago, so this is no surprise. The funny thing is, Bayern are now so rich in talent that they will have some very real star players sitting a long time on the bench next season? Kinda like QPR in some weird and strange way? (Well, that's about all I can do is ). I live here, but am no Bayern fan, but have to admit they were very impressive last night, very impressive. Jupp Heynckes is a great guy and am more than happy for him that he will leave Bayern a truly great trainer, as this club have at times treated him abysmally; check his CV. Everyone I know in Munich is very happy for old Jupp. This Peppi fellow, whoever he is and whatever he has done, has big boots to fill when he takes over in July.
Like the look of Gabrials Kaka in the Epsom 3.20 5/1. Won at the track as a 2yo which is a huge positive, if he's stripping fit today he may well take this although he will have to overcome the impressive lto winner Mister Impatience but at the prices I'm willing to side with Gabrials Kaka to keep his unbeaten record intact.
Well they replaced Kagawa with Reus, so I'm sure he'll find a few new faces to replace Gotze, Hummels etc. I did tip them up last year as a good value bet at 40s, but sadly didnt back them myself. Still think Bayern will win it, but would love to be on Dortnund at 40s no question. Good luck
Quick bit of self promotion here, don't forget to enter the Champions Series Fantasy Racing competition before next week's Guineas. We have a 606 Racing League again this year so we are looking for as many participants as possible. More info here
Western Diamond into 10's and shorter in a lot of places. I knew. I took the 16's. I'd say if you fancy her to run as well as I do then take the price now as she'll go off shorter.
Sorry to keep droning on about this one but, to update the situation, he does go again on Friday (4.10 Donny) with the excellent Graham Lee the chosen saddle monkey this time around. Races off his old perch of 79 as well (84 in the future). Sporting Life forecast the Lieutenant as the 5/1 market leader but at first glance this does look hotter than the Newbury affair he ran in last Friday. The ultimate aim must be that come next Wednesday the old boyâs revised mark is in the upper 80âs and therefore, if fit and well, a run in the Ascot Stakes has been achieved.
Afternoon all. Three for me today AMBITIOUS ICARUS 2.05 Catterick 16/1 E.W SWISS CROSS 2.20 Epsom 7/1 LIONHEART 5.00 Epsom 11/4 good luck
****STOP PRESS**** Major question. Why on Friday in Sandown’s Classic Trial are the Hannon’s running a horse up to 35 pounds ‘wrong’ at the weights?!? The colt Woodstock is rated a mere 72 and up against beasts perched in the 100’s. What do they know??? What is going on???
Oddy, they are up to something most deffo. Whether it involves Ganja or no Ganja (there’s a potential gameshow for Noel Tidybeard by the way) I couldn’t possibly comment. Why ruin a horses handicap mark completely by running him in such a race unless they thought he was worthy of the rise?!?
Afternoon guys hope everyone enjoying the sunshine hopefully I can spread a bit more as I've been told that LEGAL WAVES 4.30 Epsom will take all the beating today and is very forward currently only around 6/4-11/8 but as they say a winner is a winner good luck if you play
That Johnson horse in the Epsom trial is a mudlark, good/good to firm in places according to RP, this isnt a strong race, but there are a couple of half decent types and id happily lay him all day at 5/4 if the rain stays away!
Just had a call from same source that gave me a winner yesterday ... currently 10/3 ... .good luck if you play ..and thanks for all the help , advice , tips and common sense on the site ! Much appreciated ..
