Lennon sets sights on Boyd as champions prepare for transfer battle

Celtic are prepared to go toe-to-toe with Hull City this summer to land flamboyant playmaker George Boyd.
The 27-year-old, who is currently on loan at the KC Stadium from Peterborough United, is high on the newly-crowned SPL champions’ wanted list.

    Hope not.

Honestly, would you rather play in the EPL, or the SPL. Anyone with any sort of aspirations would say EPL end of. If he's is only interested in the folding stuff then it is off to the SPL.

There's already a deal in place to turn the loan signing into a permanent. So unless Celtic cough up £xxm then they can **** off <ok>

They do offer the opportunity of champions league football, though playing in a first round match in Albania or Malta isn't much to shout about

Are you forgetting that they played the likes of Barca - who they beat - and Juve this season? Saying that I cant imagine Boyd would or Posh renege on a deal after what they said about Florist.

Is he really good enough for the PL. Apparently we were interested in him last summer and there was a mixed response on our board to say the least. Most didn't even think he would cut it at a top level championship team, saying that I was one of the ones that did want him.

On a seperate note, I just can't understand players wanting to go and play for celtic so much. Who cares if they have champ football, still a ****ty league. You only go there if you want some guaranteed silverware

Isn't the deal subject too promotion?
If so its strange that 2 loan players who's signing is subject to promotion (Elmo and Boyd) have dropped in their performance?

It's not subject to promotion, we've already agreed a permanent deal, the only reason it's not signed already, is because we didn't sort it before the window closed.

Well that makes it worthwhile then.

    Silly
    Pointless
    League

Playing every other week in front of 3000 at places like Stenhousemuir and Cowdenbeath.

It really is a joke of a league, even donkeys like Chris Commons look half decent.

Average Championship players stand out in that league, which demonstrates how piss poor the SPL is.

    Thanks for that.
Think I need to stop posting, am getting more depressed as the weekend approaches.
Just wish we had an Ashbee type on the pitch to give the team backbone.

Never mind the league, which ****ing ****** would want to sign for a club that openly supports the IRA?

Celtic can **** themselves and hopefully follow rangers down the ****ter but don't make it back.

    Champions League
    Guaranteed you'll win something
    Top wages

    Over

Struggling in a lower placed premier league team, and probably relegated (jumping the gun as we might not even be promoted).
    May not even be played.

    I don't think he's even that good.
