    the academy is key to everything. we ran the club well for years and stayed in the top division. with a great businessman in charge we can go back to this and further.

    Is Wisescummer fit? I have very low standards (ask beddy!). Can he see 50 without the aid of a radiotelescope? Has he got his own teeth and hair. Can he still see his feet. If the answer is yes, I will ask Mr Cortese nicely to buy some new players quickly as I want to see the streak whilst I can still have some eyesight.

    Interesting that the best/most successful club the OP considered he could put in the list was Everton.

    And I accept completely that I'm looking at the thread with almost 3 years of hindsight. I'm sure I wouldn't have selected a list any more diverse, also bearing in mind that the thread started one month before I joined the forum, so I wouldn't have had the chance. :)
