    Severe chafing caused by combat trousers and spending the weekend in a bloody wet trench. Army doctors 'usual' prescription... plenty of Algipan <yikes> <wah>
    Also advised to use small bottle of clear liquid if the pain was too bad. So called bloody mates emptied liquid out and replace with old spice <yikes> <wah> ( x 1000,000,000,000)
    Cured them? Nearly burnt the buggers off

    Not one of my happier times. And to make it worse, because the band were due to play at Wembley for an England game and I couldn't march properly, I got left behind and then charged for a 'self inflicted' wound.
    Who in ther right bloody mind would tub Algipan and Old Spice there intenionally? <grr> <steam>

    Good morning my friends from a disappointingly damp Weston, I hope it clears soon as I have yet another trip to the hospital today, I should be able to distribute my little rep parcels before I go, then not back until mid afternoon :(

    Morning all, looks like another day of dashing around. :( Coffee will be appreciated ak.

    A misty start, but the sun is starting to burn it off. Pear trees in the back garden are in full bloom right now so there is a constant hum from the bees doing their business. Last year we had virtually no pears at all, whereas the previous year we had so many we were giving them away.

    Here's a question for the more knowledgeable amongst you, I'm home earlier than anticipated from hospital, happy in the knowledge that all is proceeding well,
    so I'm sat with the door to the garden open, sun pouring in and I'm necking a bottle of post-lunch beer!

    Is that decadent?

    I guess that depends on the viewpoint of whoever spots you doing it Dave.

    A passing Tory MP might look and say 'Feckless layabout! - and then assume that all people in receipt of Jobseeker Allowance are similar and obviously in receipt of too much public money - then make an instant decision to slash the amount paid, increase the price of alcohol and make all recipients subject to regular breathe testing. He will also probably eye off your garden as a suitable development site.

    A passing Labour MP, on the other hand, may well take pity on your obvious plight and make an instant decision to introduce a new Alcohol Payment for the underprivileged and older citizens. Seeing your open door may well remind him of the party's open door policy for Britain and prompt him to invite more refugees/migrants from around the world - many of whom will end up living in your front room because of the housing shortage.

    If it was me passing by - I'd say 'Great idea!' then duck round to the nearest Tesco for a six pack & come back and join you.

    <cheers>

    As long as you focus on the self-indulgence rather than the decay...
