Hull defender Ahmed Elmohamady saluted manager Steve Bruce after being named player of the year by the club's fans. The Egypt international, 25, who received his trophy at the club's end-of-season awards dinner on Sunday night, now wants to round off a successful first season at the KC Stadium by securing promotion. "It has been a big season here," said wing-back Elmohamady, who initially joined Hull on loan from parent club Sunderland in August before extending his stay until the end of the season in January. He added on the club's official website: "I have to say thank you to my team-mates for helping me to win the award at the weekend and of course to the fans of Hull City for the support they have given me. "I just hope that we can go on and get promoted at the weekend now." Bruce was manager of Sunderland when the Black Cats signed Elmohamady from Egyptian side ENPPI in July 2010. "It was a big decision for me to come here," Elmohamady said. "But I have to thank the manager for bringing me here. He was also the one that brought me over from Egypt to play in England. "The manager also brought Gedo and Fathi here and they have been fantastic for us. It's great to see Egyptian players in the English league." Tigers midfielder Stephen Quinn, in his first season at Hull after signing from Sheffield United in the summer, was named the club's players' player of the year. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...uted-manager-Steve-Bruce-s-impact-at-the-club
from @YoungSunEcho Chris Young twitter @SunderlandAFC11 There's a clause in the loan deal to make it permanent if they (Hull City) go up
I hope we do get him permanently. He's been brilliant for us all Season. He's been off the pace a bit lately though, but I think getting this Award will get him back to his form. How much are Sunderland wanting should we earn promotion then?
The fee was quoted to be one million when he first came in August, I imagine it'll be the same despite the recall and new loan deal.
Interesting he states it was Bruce who brought all 3 Egyptians over, we've seen a bit of conjecture about that on here.
Bargain considering the £millions that Clubs decide to splash out when earning Promotion. Especially if we sign Vito Mannone for £1million as people seem to think he'll go for. Mannone and Elmohamady for £2million.
We paid £2.5m for him so I doubt we would sell for less, especially as he is now your player of the season, reckon ellis will hold you to ransom, personally
There is a pre agreed fee in his loan deal, so if he wants to come to us, he's ours and you can't hold us to ransom whether you wanted to or not. Basically you've already accepted the bid and we can open talks with elmo as soon as we're promoted. That fee was said to be 1 million in the papers when he first came on loan to us.
We havearranged a price already for Elmo and reckon stockdale and vito will cost £3m for the pair. Even if we have to pay £5.5m for the three we would have a bargain! !!
He has been great for us this season, even though he has gone a little off the boil of later. However I guess that is only to be expected, as all players will have a dip of form and some point in the season. Anyhow I am sure if we go up, he will equally affective in the EPL

Just been searching the web and can't find anything stating the fee, it was either 1 or 1 and a half million when he first came, think Steve Bruce may have said it in an interview at some point, someone on twatter could twat burnsy he'll know the answer. But reading one article and the way it's worded, it's as if we get promoted, we have an obligation to put a bid in for him but there's no pre agreed fee. It's on the slumberland echo site (ps my iPhone actually just auto corrected Sunderland to slumberland )
Steve Bruce confirmed yonks ago to Burnsy that a deal was in place with Sunderland subject to Hull City being in the PL. Looks like a slam dunk to me.
