Come on - his interviews/comments are annoying. They do little to appease when we're all upset, but then when we beat Fulham I'm sure we nodded along with him. The issues are about the tangible - results, performance, tactics.
You're right they do actually do little to appease us when we lose or upset, but they could do exactly that. If he came out and said we lost/performed poorly because we didn't support Cisse enough from the flanks, because our set pieces were poor, because he made a mistake in thinking Tiote was ready to be played when he wasn't etc then I could handle that because I'd feel like he's got a grip on things. Instead he says we're tired, that our set pieces deliveries are actually good <facepalm> and that we're constantly unlucky. He never actually tackles any of our issues head on in front of a camera, if he did that at least then we could take solace from the fact he actually realises where we're going wrong but instead he chooses to turn a blind eye to it leaving us to debates such as this one.
Just out of interest, for those preaching stability, would you keep Pardew if we go down? After all apparently he is allowed one absolute shambles of a season...
Going down would destroy any hope of stability anyway as we would lose a sizeable chunk of our squad and would need to rebuild afresh, so it would be a completely different scenario.
So you'd let him keep his job even though he'd have taken the most talented squad we've had since under Sir Bobby to the second tier of English football??? On what basis???
Didn't you listen to the phone-ins last year?? There were a significant amount of Liverpool fans phoning in and saying that as much as they love him, it was time for him to go. The same was being said on forums and in blogs. It was all said very respectfully and politely (mostly) but it WAS being said!
Its real, but I to feel we'll be ok. I actually think we have enough points to stay up already, though not enough to breathe easy. We won't lose our next four games though.
