Now that number 20 is secure, what players will be going this summer and who do you believe could arrive?

I've just posted similar under Rivals, with Bayern snapping Goetze from Dortmund.
For me I can see atleast 5 going/retiring, midfield has to be a high turn around, maybe Fellaini centre, Rodriguez from Porto but I can't workout if Rooney will stay/go, substituted 3 games in a row now! Been linked with Falcao, Lewandowski but im not to sure on strikers

Fellaini would be a good addition IMO. Another winger is necessary as I unsure how young Zaha will pan out. Not really sure on the striker links unless Rooney or another was to leave.

Only Guarentee upfront is that RVP and Welbeck will be there, Rooney(form) Hernandez (bargaining chip) who knows, Been watching Zaha since we signed him, his head is defo on his big move, if he has Ronaldos attitude Success! Nani's then he is sold after a year or 2.

Think we need two, maybe three, new players.
I'm basing this on Rooney moving to mid field so one striker, Falcao being the superb option, Lewandowski being another rumour that won't go away.

Scholes retires, Anderson ****s off finally and Fletcher and Giggs unlikely to play much so, in addition to Rooney, we sign a cm.

A right out of the top drawer cm.

Eriksen, Strootman, De Rossi are options, the mighty Schweinsteiger being the stuff of dreams.

Reckon another left back too, otherwise there is plenty to go round across the defence.

    Otherwise, we're all good. <ok>

    Defence is fine for me,
Erikson strongly linked with City/lolerpool De Rossi been linked for ages with City, Schweinsteiger would be amazing but he ain't going to leave( but they have just signed Goetze) diff type of player so maybe. Strootman had a great start to season maybe gone off the boil a little but still quality.

Lou Macari on TalkSPORT just mentioned Luka Modric for our midfield, was great at spurs (don't think about Madrid match), could fit well with Carrick!

Rooney can't play in midfield for an entire season, he is an accident waiting to happen. His control is not very good but he can get away with that as a forward and he hits a lot of hollywood passes, and they are good when they come off but you also have the chance he gifted benteke in the second half as well as giving the ball away numerous times in the first half after producing that stunning pass for RVP which better counter attacking teams will exploit.
If he stays let him compete with RVP for the striker position or is he too big a player to have competition, afterall three years ago the club could not match his ambitions so whats wrong with a little healthy competition.
I'd prefer SAF to buy proper specialist midfielders and not another Alan Smith Experiment.
FC Bayern have just signed Gotze which I am sure is a Guadiola signing so Bayern have a surplus of midfielders, I wonder who out of their lot will become available. I'd take Schweinsteiger and Kroos as an upgrade over what is at utd right now and if there is a clearout i.e. Nani, Anderson, Scholes, or if Fletcher is not the same, and Gigg's role is reduced, I'd also be in the market for Thiago Alcantara, Alexis, and James Rodriguez as they are also an upgrade on what is currently at Utd

He would give us the extra bite we've been lacking <ok>

Would prefer Eriksen and Strootman over De Rossi - most of the best PL midfielders are the ones who moved to the PL at a relatively young age. Older ones often struggle. With De Rossi I think we'd risk another Veron.

Modric is a decent option, but I think we may need a bit more physicality in midfield.

I wonder could we entice Arsenal to sell us Wilshere? <laugh> Would do the job in CM and really be quite funny as well.

we have players who may leave: Rooney, Nani and anderson
    other retire : Scholes
other old : Rio, vidic and Giggs
others need a replacement soon: Evra & carrick .. you have to admit we don't have cover for them if they get injured

Zaha is our only signing, guess to replace Nani
I think we need more players with creativity .. we can't rely always on Giggs for so long..
i like Marco Verratti , and hope when PSG is hit by FFP we can sign him .. we are linked to him, and Sir Alex admire him... he stated though he is not leaving PSG.. hope FFP will give the push needed .......Iker Muniain is another good signing, same for Isco
Kurt Zouma is a great prospect defender to replace rio or vidic .. have all the potential
for left back, will go for Luke Shaw
for DM, i will go for Koke from A Madrid or Matuidi

he is .. i watched him in 4-5 matches and was very very impressed by the guy , so physical and fast too something we lacked in our CB selection before and for a guy at his age his reading of the game is just impressive .. with more experience, he will be world class .. and i think he is already in our radar , i remember rumors linking us with him in January .. so crossing fingers

i will love to see him in our club ... LOL .. Arsenal shouldn't complain .. they are a feeder club now <laugh>
worried about his attitude though .. a trouble maker like Rooney was at young age

All joking aside, if Arsenal do not sign the quality of players to allow them to challenge for the title, then the likes of Wilshere will leave just like RVP etc did.

Out = Scholes and Nani with Giggs playing less (and not as a central midfielder).

In = Strootman, Rodriguez, Dede (which would free up Jones to play a holding midfield role) and a young LB, someone like Digne or Willems perhaps.

I really can't see Lewandowski or Falcao coming to United unless the Rooney leaving rumours are proved to be right.
