That's right, I've never had this experience. A lot of films claim to be scary when it's really just gore. In fact, I tell a lie. Arachnophobia terrified the **** out of me as a lad as I'm terrified of spiders, I've only recently found out that it was actually a comedy. Anybody on Not606 ever been scared by a film? Please take this article seriously. For once in your ****ing life.
When I was a kid the old Hammer horror movies scared me. But then, when yer a kid yer imagination means just about anything can scare ye. No seen any movie as an adult that scared me.
The Ring made me jump a few times. Had to close all the curtains in the house after watching Halloween.
Remember "The Beast With Five Fingers"? That wiz a scary old movie about a disembodied hand seeking revenge. Had Peter Lorre in it. When we were kids me and my two brothers shared a bedroom. After being allowed to saty up and watch that movie one night my big brother crept across the bedroom floor and laid is hand on the edge of my bed and waited. I screamed the ****in house down Ma da leathered him fur it
."The Beast with Five Fingers"great bit when the hand is playing the piano. "The Devil Rides Out" old Hammer movie scared the **** out of me
Remember that film well The likes of Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff, Vincent Price and Bela Lugosi were scary guys to a young 6/7/8 year old boy in the early 70's. Used to share a bedroom with my elder brother. If he wasn't giving me a dead leg or the dreaded Chinese Typewriter he was scaring the **** out of me I'd love to see The Cat and The Canary with Bob Hope again.
I can remember going to the cinema to see "The Blair Witch Project" with the missus cos we unfortunately believed the hype. Pile o' ****e. Had some idiot afterwards saying that it was lack of imagination on my part. Bollocks. **** all happened in it. My mind wandered off elsewhere due to the ****in boredom.
Every film with Tom Cruise in it scares me - how on earth could anyone pay that talentless midget millions of pounds to turn in performances more wooden than a chair factory?
