I don't believe that my opinions are horseshit. True, this guy does make a big deal out of stuff like this, but I rarely believe anything the news tells me anymore (within reason of course). It's just about forming my own thoughts and what I believe to be true. For example, I believe man went to the moon, it's one of the proudest moments in mankind's history. Other people don't, they believe it's fake. Which is annoying, but it's their opinion. I believe the Bible is a crock of **** and didn't happen. Of course it didn't. The world isn't 5000 years old. There wasn't a man who went round walking on water and turning water into booze. But I guarantee there'll be some knobhead who will argue against it till they're blue in the face.

Our government is just as bad as Americas, it's corrupt, it's losing it's independent image and shrinking in the eyes of the world. The Uk is the fourth most surveillanced country in the World. Shopping centres have began using mobile phone signals to track where shoppers go, how long they spend in shops, which routes they take in and out of the complex and much more. There are cameras allover the place, but nobody bats an eyelid because they don't have to. It's not harming anybody but at the same time, it does make me wonder why exactly they want to watch everybody all the time. There aren't fights kicking off every 5 minutes, or crimes happening every second. Nearly everybody has a sat nav, which is tracked by satellites all over the world and nobody questions it. We use social networking, which is monitored by the CIA and post some really intimate stuff on there which perhaps they should keep to themselves.

We hide behind America too much - look at our kids. The White kids want to be black and the Chinese kids want to be white. Nearly everything we watch on TV, what we read about in the news, websites we go on (Facebook, Myspace, Twitter are all American) and the products in our house are influenced or originated in, the United States. Pretty much all the fast food chains are American, the films in our cinemas are all made in America - forgive my lack of film knowledge but what was the last big British film to be a smash in America? (Slumdog Millionaire?) We see ourselves as 'good friends' of America, because we are allies and we have a good history. I don't know what Americans think of us. Individuals I've met are really nice and when I went over there I enjoyed myself, but I don't think as a country they really give as much of a **** about us. I've never seen a drive-thru Sunday Roast restaurant and instead of showing good quality British programming, they take our best ideas and make ****ter versions because "we just didn't get it" (The UK Office is better than the US one, that will never change).

I'll make this clear, I'm not paranoid, I'm not mental, I work hard and I appreciate the life I have, but I'm just so tired of how bullshit the world has become in the last decade. I'm a man of science and fact and I look at both sides before forming an opinion. I do sincerely apologise for ranting; I'm not usually as maudlin as this but it's getting ridiculous.

The only conspiracy theory I believe is that Roy Orbison was an albino.

Not sure about all the surveillance malarkey, saying that my sat nav is a ****ing arsehole and takes me through city centres and down single track country lanes to save 54 yards on a 300 mile journey.

My new car has a built in sat nav and if it's as bad as my Tom Tom I'll just drive the **** off the Humber Bridge with me in it as a one man protest.

I didn't mean "if you support City you should be a socialist" - obviously there's a fairly wide spectrum of opinion on here, which is fine. Just wondered whether you had Cuban family or something, can't be many Cuban exiles who are City fans.

My point about right wing folks and conspiracy theories is related to basic political theory - if you imagine an x/y axis, with left and right economics on the 'x' and libertarian/authoritarian on the 'y', it stands to reason that if your political views occupy the right/authoritarian quadrant you'll probably be more inclined to trust your social betters than someone who s a left libertarian (or a right libertarian too...****, maybe even a left authoritarian like Castro).

I've already mentioned quite a few conspiracy theories that have been proven true - the thing is that conspiracy theories cease to be such once they're proven true, so the pejorative term tends to apply to the truly batshit ones (Icke's the Queen is a lizard etc). But we're going round in circles, I get what you're saying and presumably you understand what I'm saying.

The stuff about cameras, Sat Navs and when you go out to the shops does make you sound, well, a bit paranoid.

    Look I'm just saying!

    Tommy oh Tommy.

The UK leads the world in CCTV, yes it does. It also leads the world in the technical aspects of listening in.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition was used in the 70's by the British Army. GCHQ has and is monitoring every telephone call, fax, electronic communication that enters this country and many more. The systems that monitor phone signals in shopping centres also can track suspect terrorists.
The fact is that commercial use and government use are totally different. They are not linked. In a typical shopping centre each major store will have its own system and the centre another.
Local Government will possibly have a system in place.
National Government does not have a linked up CCTV system. It does not have real time access in the UK to view your street or you.
Globalisation is killing culture not the USA it simply started there. Why is MacDonalds soopular? Because it delivers what it says it will. Burger King struggles. Drive around on Sunday and the pubs where the blokes went and drank at lunch time now serve a Sunday roast and all of the family go. Market forces change how we shop and spend. Tools like mobile phone footfall tracking simply try to aid future investment. It used to be people standing outside with click counters in their pockets, its simply an advancement.

those not willing to even question the legitimacy of the government's actions/words are playing into their hands.

The government always expects the majority to not question and to believe their every word... purely on the basis that "it can't possibly be true"

Either way, they'd rather have complete and utter confusion , debates, arguments and sides to play off.

As far as I am concerned, you're an idiot if you never question what happens around you.
There is so much actual evidence that what the government tells the sheep population= bullshit/cover up. So on that basis I choose to question everything that it says.

Most of you skeptics question the government's intention when it's about job seeker's allowance or tax credits laws yet you refuse to do so when it's on a much bigger scale/issue? on what basis? that they could not possibly be so inhumane?

America was formed on deception. It's been present throughout every important part of their history, I see no reason why It would disappear.

I'm not necessarily saying that the u.s government did it, there are far more powerful cells/agencies within the u.s, that Obama probably doesn't even know about.

Let's just see it this way. There is PLENTY to gain from a financial point of view for contractors and government cells. Far too much for it not be considered.
It also happened right at time where the country is struggling, the value of gold crashed, tension between the u.s and NK grow daily.

Maybe all of this happened exactly the way they've been saying it has... but the point is, by not questioning things it gives them the opportunity to eventually throw one in there incognito.

As far as I'm concerned, in every big event like this, there are always unanswered questions, that eventually get brushed up under the carpet, once they've secured the majority opinion. If 10% of the story doesn't add up it shouldn't be ignored.

Don't you worry mate I've got questions alright.

Question-Why was his hair jet black?

Answer- Because it was pure white he dyed it.

Question- Why was he never seen without shades on?

Answer- Because he had red eyes.

Do I really need to go on?

Roy Orbison was an albino and anyone who doubts this is a misguided fool who has been brainwashed by the state.

    Big brother is watching.

In a way. He was an alien who shapeshifted into an albino to avoid people questioning it.

Now there's a conspiracy theory for you.
