The FA (and FIFA and UEFA for that matter) are full of dinosaurs who won't make the changes the game needs, insisting on supporting their officials to the hilt, it's a joke and just undermines the refs. They're also far, far too slow to introduce the changes the game needs. We should have TV replays implemented, and they should have stamped out shirt pulling in the box from set-pieces, surrounding the ref, and the lack of respect shown on the pitch.

Interesting to see the comments on MOTD2 regarding other clubs lining up to sign him.I have no doubt that will happen.Imagine if you could have Suarez scoring 25 goals a season and winning matches on his own.I'm not defending the little s**t but you can see the way some will be thinking on this.I guess that there might be a couple on here who would put up with his antics for an extra ten points over a season. The trouble with Suarez is that he's no Joey Barton. He would most likely lose you ten points.

The FA have left themselves in a lose/lose situation here.

If they don't do anything to Suarez then they'll be heavily criticised for letting him off with biting a player, especially when the player in question has previously been banned for the same offence.

However, they really have backed themselves into a corner with their rule about not punishing players if the ref saw it. A few years back, Defoe appeared to bite Mascherano, the ref saw it and gave Defoe a yellow, because the ref saw it the FA took no further action. So if the FA throw the book at him, Liverpool will rightly be able to point to the Defoe incident and claim that Suarez is being victimized.

I'm not defending him in the slightest, he deserves to be banned for at least the same length of time he was banned the last time he did it. But this is a perfect example of how stupid some of the FA's rules are.

Doesn't sound like Liverpool are in the mood to defend him at all. Also Defoe didn't have form, the second time you bite another player should be your career done (notice very few other players even need one chance)

Apparently, biting an opponents arm is a sign of affection in Uruguay meaning that you are buying the first round after the game.

    Wells that suarez's defence, anyway.

If Dalgish didn't piss all that money down the gutter Suarez would not be a Liverpool employee this morning, but since his one of the very few world class players in that outfit, I'd imagine they'll keep him.

If there is humour in this, the best one I've seen so far is: If you can't beat them eat them!

it seems Liverpool have said that Suarez is not to be transfer listed, but will be staying with them. they just have no class at all. they should get rid, but not to a PL team. get him out of the country permanently.

I had little faith in the FA, but have just heard on the news that they have charged Suarez with "violent conduct" and that "they don't think a 3 match ban is enough".

If I say sorry and promise not to bite the dog again can I ask the papers not to print the story. Should all back four places be offered rabies jabs - discuss

Way to look at it if this was one of our players like Snodgrass, Holt, Bassong or Turner biting an opposition player how would we all react? What would we want the punishment to be? I'm in no way condoning what Suarez done.

I know for starters I would want the player disciplined and fined but not banished from the profession I'm sure a lot of you would be exactly same, also lets remember it's not Marlon King we're talking about.

OK he's not Marlon King, but he is a serial prick! How many chances do you want to give him? He's WAY beyond 3 strikes and out!

I agree and he has an uncanny habit of scoring lots of goals against us. If this was one of our key players what would we do though? His easily the best player in their squad they would be quite average without his goals.

He was treated too lightly after that racism incident. Dalglish handled it very poorly in my opinion, judging by the way he handled the press and certain stunts he pulled.

If you had gone to work this morning and grabbed hold of a colleague's or customer's arm and bitten it, would you have a job to go to tomorrow ?
