There seems understandably to be a lot of gloom and doom around following relegation from the championship. Following the FT rich list publication I would suggest that you all have cause to celebrate with your major backer and shareholder Lansdown, who stepped back from the Hargreaves Lansdown last autumn is its second biggest shareholder (behind Peter Hargreaves), he saw his fortune surge by a meagre 64%, or £351 million to take 95th spot with £900 million to his name. Almost £1bn to his name a great supporter and benefactor who will continue to support the Reds. The only downside may be the FFS rules re investment ,however further investment into your infastructure improved ground facilities, Bristol Rugby club ground share, other schemes such as concerts will increase revenues and should improve the budget avaliable for investment in players. Over on the blue side we have hit a purple patch with the approval of a new stadium and the appointment of John Ward improves our chances of mounting a proper challenge next season, however we would love to welcome financial backing from a true football fan similar to Steve Lansdown.Count yourselves lucky, with his support, I cannot see you remaining in L1 for more than a few seasons, whilst the rebuild of the team and restructuring of your finances takes place, you will definantely come back stronger. It will be a fresh start for you next season in L1,with virtually a whole new team,Younger sought after talented players thrown into the mix, hungry to prove themselves, different grounds to visit, winning more games than you lose, which should rekindle your matchday anticipation, once again you will be looking forward to and enjoying supporting the City. Mind you if O Driscoll gets it wrong with all the senior players leaving it could also go pear shaped and you could plummet to L2 View attachment 23167 View attachment 23168 Only kidding What are your hopes for the new season? Thanks for the positive spin on things. Doesn't happen that often that I'm agreeing with someone from the blue side, but it is good to have a "supporter" at the helm (financially) and not some money/glory grabbing foreigner such as Cardiff's Malaysian backer. Having Blackthorn on the shirts is better than having the name of another country there. Here's hoping that you have it right about our stay in league one. and all the best for the next season (within reason that is??????)
Your welcome REx without him you would be a poorer club financially as well as his true support. View attachment 23173 REx normal hostilities will be resumed next season until then same to you. Hey Wiz Shiny COR
