I'm sitting here computer primed and oxygen bottle at the ready,i have a nurse on standby to wipe my fevered brow not long now till the price of my gold band season ticket is announced, come on Bernie be NICE
35% increase in top sections is the rumour, and David M also said he'd heard that was the figure being talked about?? Let's put it into perspective, it's not going to be the amount that everyone wants, ie no increase. But we are now in the premiership, we are in London where the rates are very high and competition for fans is huge. We are losing money hand over fist and our stadium is far too small for us to return a profit from ticket sales. The only way forward is a new stadium, but until then you can expect ticket prices to be very high. This will certainly be the case while Ecclestone is in charge, he's not going to subsidize anyone from his pocket. But wont it be worth every penny to see our beloved team in the promised land, with the likes of Rooney, Fabregas, Silva et all, running on our hallowed turf? I don't think you can put a price on that!
Peter, with your make over you can score big time, Bernie first, then that guy who's looking for love on another thread...
I am indeed trying to keep things in perspective LoneRanger but the owners knew they were taking on a small club that would be difficult to make profitable in the short term. Their plans should include building that new stadium (should have been started 3 years ago) and to expand the club into new markets so that QPR are a viable operation at the top level. In the meantime they should continue to see the additional cash input as an investment and not look for profitability in our current circumstances. I know we will fill the ground come what may but remember this will be the 2nd time in 3 years that price rises have alienated many of our long term supporters.
Washed out the bleach and if i must say its taken years off me i might even qualify for a student season ticket, all look great collar & cuffs matching (if you know what i mean)
