If the ref has seen the marks, then according to the 'rules', he can't be suspended. The referee saw something but didn't take action. The FA already look like a bunch of ****ing imbeciles, not suspending Suarez would just be the cherry on top of the cake.
The Suarez one pales into insignificance compared to this full on assault...
Are you sure? Would it not just be like the ref in the McManaman one seeing Haidara on a stretcher but not taking action? As long as the ref didn't see him chewing on Ivanovic's arm.
The FA have an 'exceptional circumstance' rule that they can implement after a game, regardless of what the ref did or didn't see.
You'd hope this would be one of them if he did see any of it. I think he'll get 4 games and a fine off The FA as well as his club fine.
Funny how this differs to his first tweet on the matter, asking how come there was no such furore when Defoe did the same? I really cant believe someone at Liverpool hasnt banned the ****ing idiot using Twitter when he makes comments like that. They really havent learned from the Evra row....
It has to be something that warrants at least a four game ban for them to implement the exceptional circumstance rule and I assume it will.
This is what makes the situation interesting, the ridiculous rules do state that if the referee saw the situation and tells the FA he saw it then no action will be taken, like remember the Rooney elbow? That was the same the ref saw it and told the FA he did and no action was taken, the referee spoke to Suarez at the time so it will be interesting.
This massively. Don't understand it at all. Even if you were totally pissed off at the player you'd twat him or something wouldn't you? What's the point in biting?
