Don't think QPR fans would disagree. I'm sure very few will be fans of Redknapp...what has he done for them?

Hope he drinks it as well so we don't have to listen to his god awful over excitable commentary or cliche riddled 'stato' crap. Bring back Motty

I'm still worried, I realised that if we don't win any of our remaining fixtures (or draw or anything) Villa only need to win 2 and Wigan win 3, all the other teams only need to win 1 to go above us. Footie makes me nervous, hope it doesn't come down to the final day.

On the flip side we can be safe as soon as next monday. If we beat west brom and villa lose vs Manu tonight and vs sunderland on the following Monday and wigan lose to spurs.

Thanks to the fixture list villa vs wigan play each other last game of the season so one way or another they will take points if each other.

If we don't win another point (unlikly as we are unbeaten in six games), Wigan need to win 3/5 games...is that likely? If we get one draw...Wigan need 4 wins or 3 wins and a draw.

Exactly and look at who they still have to play. I think 37 or 38 will still be enough and we have 39:emoticon-0102-bigsm

saints are safe dont worry about it....It is looking bad for wigan though so its them that should be worried.....qpr and reading are down now and justified so this season as the both have not taken their chances when they had them. Take stoke away at qpr for instant,, stoke were in free fall and they beat qpr on their own pitch 2-0, you would have thought with redknapp,s pre match speech that qpr were up for that match.....If ever a manager is overrated then it has to be redknapp .....saints are safe even if you dont win anymore matches this season....

Not just Wigan, for Saints to go down every team from 13th to 18th needs to overtake us. As many of them are playing each other and points will be dropped by one or both teams, Saints are already pretty much safe.

This. to survive, all Saints need to do is match the LEAST SUCCESSFUL TEAM of the six below us. In reality we are looking at sneaking into the top half - and collecting more of that prize money!

I also like how much better 11th sounds than 17th to potential new recruits.

We can finish 7th if we win every game, Liverpool lose all of theirs and there is a 26 goal swing.

8th could conceivably happen, beating West Brom would be necessary. 10 or 12 points would be needed for that, so something from Tottenham. 7-99 should be good for top half. We seem to have the most favourable games overall, Spurs away is tough but not unthinkable if they rest players for Chelsea, the rest we seem to have as much a chance as our opponents. Only team I can really imagine getting above us is Sunderland, if they beat us. I'll go for 7 more points and 10th.

Our performances are so consistent and have been throughout the season (something that many of us haven't acknowledged). We've usually dropped points because of poor finishing or sloppy defending. Our overall play in almost every game perhaps except Sunderland at home and Liverpool away has been superb (yes I'm forgetting one or two more perhaps but you get my drift). I can't see the point in entertaining the worst case scenario for one minute. It is more likely that QPR will stay up than us not picking up the required number of points to survive in the remaining four games considering our form over the course of the season.

Yep. Would be nice to hit the market and be able to say credibly to prospective signees that we're pushing toward Europe, rather than fighting the drop.

That last game of Wigan v Villa looks like a decider. How tense will that be!

Well it's no haircut till we are mathematically safe, same lucky socks on match days, leaving the pub at exactly 2.29pm and a pound on Corky to be the first scorer.. Not that I'm superstitious, but you can't be too careful..

Ha! Same....walk the same route to the ground. Wait until others in party have gone up to their seats. Use the same toilets/unrinal. If that is busy wait. Wait until team break from huddle to sit in my seat.

I want Wigan to win their game in hand and make them level with Villa.
