Can't believe he has the gall to say that to be honest. How can we possibly have shown what we needed to, when we squandered so many chances and gave away the lead. We were nowhere in the second half of that game, and Pardew did not respond soon enough or effectively enough to the fact that they started to completely dominate the game.
We were lucky to squeak a point, l cannot hold respect for the man when he bull****s like that. If that display is what he wants to see from our team, then we are going to be in serious trouble.
It really speaks volumes when we are praying for other teams to do us favours with their results and are hoping that other teams key players are either suspended or injured to give us more chance of winning.
We really are in a sorry state, and Pardew's lame excuses are starting to grate on my nerves now.

I've always been on the side of defending him and wanting to give him more time. I still do in all honesty, but he is coming out with some utter tripe rather than just saying "I got it wrong", "We weren't good enough", "We nee more leadership and character in the team", "our set plays need to improve so we'll work on them" etc, etc. Man up Pards!

I think I've heard those words before, I just can't remember where at the moment.

 

Absolutely this...... Have never wanted his head on a plate and to be honest still really want him to come good and maintain some stability, however, just recently l have begun to wonder if he is the man to lead us long term.

 

Pardew must have convinced his players to put all of their effort into just one half of the game. I can't remember the last time you lot put in a good 90 minutes, you look great for 45 then totally capitulate 2nd half or vice versa. The guy has some serious talent at his disposal and he's making you look like a pack of clowns every weekend.

 

I've lost faith in Pardew. There's a few reasons for this.

But he's a puppet manager, and his job is safe.

If he's happy with that performance then he's just making himself look like an idiot. We were good for 45 mins then following his usual half time 'pep' talk played like a pub side in that second half. It's an insult to the fans to be honest. I used to defend him. Not anymore. He needs to go in the summer. He's not getting the best out of the players. He's making a team of internationals look clueless. Understandable if it was a team of Faroe Island internationals, but seriously come on. We have shown glimpses of what we can do when we ATTACK teams with crisp passing and movement. Sadly though this clown insists on playing a defensive long ball formation. The likes of Cabaye, Sissoko and Gouffran look lost. Time to go Alan. Get a job in division 1 one which is well within in your comfort zone and let someone with a bit of managerial and tactical nous come in and take us forward.

 

His arrogance is galling! I find his lack of long radio interviews, that are open to public questioning this season, speaks volumes of the type of guy Pardew is. He's happy to take the praise and talk things up when it's going well. But when he's been left wanting, where are the confessional type interviews?! Has any journo asked him point blank, why our set-pieces are so predictably rubbish?

I've said it before. But as this season has drawn out, last seasons achievements seem like more luck than judgement.

I like the idea of stability for the club. But stability for stability's sake, is just ridiculous. I don't think that 7 more years will see a great deal of difference in our performances, or see Pardew develop a new found interest in humility.

 

It is pathetic to be honest. I have supported this club through thick and thin. Watched some atrocious football in my time (Dalglish for example) but he is now taking the mick. He is an average manager who is managing to turn a team with some talented players and a lot of potential into a poor side. He needs to go at the end of the season and take his smarmy smile and arrogance with him.
