http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...471?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Bit of a naff story really, how has Guly fallen out of favour, was he ever in favour? Can't see Mayuka going but the rest seems fairly obvious. Maybe MP will move more on than NA did as he has no loyalty or responsibility in terms of being the one who bought them in. Thoughts? DTLW
Wouldn't be surprised if Guly had requested a transfer. He'll be wanting regular football at his age, possibly in Brazil.
I've just had a look at our squad list on Wiki, I think I counted around 4 players that are likely to be sold. There are also about 8 players who are in the final year of their contracts though.
Sharp Lee Butterfield Chaplow De Ridder Hammond Seaborne Barnard Dickson Forecast Forte Martin Hoskins Reeves Mayuka Guly Isgrove Robinson Gape Moore 20 players who almost certainly have no future at the club. I can easily see 15 of those going, if not more. Could possibly add Frazer Richardson to that list as well, though I like him and don't want to.
Oddly enough, I'm okay with this. Although the integrity any article where the writing itself takes up less than half the page has to be questioned.
When is Guly out of contract? I think provided his contract doesn't end in the summer and that he's happy to stay, we'll keep him for one last season. I don't think Mayuka will be leaving yet either. The rest of Joe's list should leave, although I don't know anything about the academy graduates from that list. I think Richardson will go too seeing as even when he was fit and Clyne injured, he still didn't make the team. No point in having a backup RB if you are not going to use him when the first choice is injured.
Seems fair for the senior guys. I'm afraid if Richardson was going to stay then we would not have seen Yoshida backing up Clyne at right back. Guly to Brazil could happen, de Ridder I'm sure would interest Dutch or Belgian clubs but I think his wages are probably comparable to some of the first team. Mayuka is not done for yet, we will have to see what Poch thinks, if it doesn't work out then never mind. Most of them should get a Championship deal anyway, particularly the ones who helped us get up. Sharp and Hammond could even have a play-off shot.
Indeed, there's 2 or 3 in your list who are still running around in nappies with dummies in their mouths, for pete's sake.
