I told you all that City were ours for the taking. I think that this might have been the two goal win I've been waiting for too. Well done Spurs I knew you could do it.

Proved wrong on two counts today: I expected us to lose 2-1 and Huddleston may have just played his way into next seasons side. He was excellent today and looks as fit as a butcher's dog.

  3. Hi Guys - Just home and haven't stopped grinning since 3pm!!!! As soon as we equalised the mood in the ground and on the pitch changed and the win became almost inevitable - seriously!!!
Not going to debate some of the neg comments on here about certain starting players, but I think AVB needs total credit for reading the game and making the right changes.
Last week I was advocating Hudd coming back into the starting lineup and for once I got a selection spot on as he made such a difference when he came on, providing a calmness in passing that complemented the high tempo that Holtby brought to the party. Hudds pass for Bales goal was sublime!!
There were some big performances in the 2nd half - Bale obviously came to light, as did Dembele. But as a team there was such commitment - really a 'make me proud' feel.....

Enough for now as there are a few bottles of wine waiting to be 'emptied' here - but lets not now go and **** it up at Wigan!!

PS - how that little **** Nasri stayed on the pitch is beyond me. Don't think anyone in the ground other than the ref or his assistants didn't see the leg-breaker on Walker. Only glad that no-one sought revenge. In fact, there was an apparent lack of reaction to it by the team and management which no one round me could understand. If that had been Fergie.......!!!!

No, the ref didn't even give a free-kick, Relayer. It'll be interesting to see if anything does happen to Nasri.

You've answered it, not one person in the dugout moved, it looked like we'd conceded a goal.

I hadn't realised until this afternoon just what a complete twat Joe Hart is. He wasn't the only City player to have his head up his own backside this afternoon, but blimey he is so ****ing full of himself.

    Neither did Mancini! <laugh>
He's responded by slagging off his own players. That'll help.

That's what makes a Spurs prediction league a bit superfluous, who knows what they're going to do next. I just hope we're not treated to another " after The Lord Mayor's show" performance against Wigan..

Yeah, I always liked him up until today. I thought there referee was particularly poor with allowing him to seemingly take any freekick that City got from about 10 yards away from the halfway line no matter where the incident took place. There wasn't much the ref got right though, I suppose.

Must admit that when I posted this, I was also judging him on his charge to the halfway line to confront Lee Mason. I have since learned he was claiming something was thrown at him from our fans. Inexcusable if that is correct.

However, that doesn't excuse Hart from his petulant booting the ball away after our equaliser, or his obscene hand gestures at a steward or his constant time wasting.

I know we've all been saying Huddlestone deserves to start but he simply has to now. Wigan away, with them needing a win kind of plays into our hands without Huddlestone's creativity as they should open up to give us the chances but you can't fault his recent sub performances. I mean litterally, you can't fault them. He brought the best out of every single player in our side once he came on.

Special mentions to Dempsey too, who I thought had his best game for us today. He was quieter in the second half but surprisingly was our best attacking player in the first, he passed the ball well, looked comfortable on the ball and for his goal did exactly what we've been needing our strikers to do, by looking to get in behind a defender in the 6 yard box.

Ah screw it, all praises to the Hudd first and foremost. Secondary praise for Dempsey, Bale, Holtby, Defoe and everyone except for Sigurdsson and W**ker who were awful throughout. What a great chance we have for a top 4 place now :)

I saw it coming a while ago. We were ahead for a long time at the Etihad and lost in the final minutes and City aren't that good away from home. I've seen that we aren't playing that badly and felt that as we've had a good record against City until very recently that we'd win it. Remember the 3-0 hiding which proved the end of Hughes? I said they were ours for the taking so this win doesn't surprise me.

We've some tough matches coming though. Stoke would have to get back to winning ways now wouldn't they and Sunderland have the new manager syndrome. I've seen before though Sunderland do well with a new coach ie Bruce and MON at first then tail off badly which i expect them to do again. Saints are getting some positive results and Wigan look lively as ie Man City. Which leaves Chelsea. Oh Chelsea,Chelsea,Chelsea, what do we say about you? You blow so hot and cold you are a very difficult team to forecast. Well many thought we'd lose to Arsenal and City but we won both and can turn Chelsea over too. That two goal win broke the one goal sequence which is what I wanted.

Will Arsenal keep winning or will a defeat spark a run of defeats and draws? What will chelsea do? Everton are out of it now I think.
