    I was just thinking the same myself. He looked like a world beater on YouTube but in reality he was sh!te. He won the Golden boot the season before he signed for Boro.
    Apart from Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord the Dutch leagues on par with the Championship!

    funny isnt it, a player does well over there but **** here (alves) = beware of all players from there.

    Van Persie scored 15 in 61 games for feyenoord and just look at him now (similar record as rooney got for Everton)

    my poinst is you just never know and even alves got 10 goals in 42 games for boro, so he wasnt "that bad". (similar to Fletchers record for Burnley but he is god to some).

    this lad is mint, and no flash in the pan, his average rating over the season is 6.7 in the dutch press, and they know a good un when they see one,

    messi wouldnt average a 6.
