'Pool look useless against a half-decent side. Chelsea will overrun them. This isn't the 'Pool side of 10 years ago, remember. We are basically hoping that a mid-table team can beat one of the best teams in the Prem. It simply is not going to happen.
I cannot wait for the interview with Rogers. Doubtless it will all have been ivanovic's fault and suarez is just misunderstood.
Well, very much against the run of play, 'Pool manage to get a point and do us a massive favour into the bargain; but it does have to be said that Goofy ought to have been sent off for violent conduct, and should not have been on the park to score their equalizer. Also, where the hell did 6 minutes extra-time come from?
Sewerez had no chance of winning player of the year before today`s biting incident, as that surely belongs to our Gareth. I would imagine fellow professionals would find it difficult to vote for a player that bites opponents, stamps on opponents, deliberately handles the ball, kicks people, intentionally tries to injure opponents, racially abuses opponents, dives at every given opportunity, over reacts and feigns injury (have I forgotten anything). Still, I am pleased that this disgusting and vulgar individual stayed on the pitch to rob Cheatski of 2 points. Goofy deserves a lengthy ban, at least 8 - 10 games, but I hope that today was his final action for the Mousers and that he does everybody a favour and disappears out of English football forever.
Suarez actions were ****ing ****ish, but genuine question, what was the outcome of this? please log in to view this image
Smelling someone's armpit may be more than a bit pervy, but as far as I know it isn't a red card offence........ Stop deflecting mate - Suarez has been caught out big time and for the sake of your beloved Mousers you would probably be better advised to distance yourselves from him this time.
The media furore over this incident is going to be unbearable. Does anyone actually think it's a big deal? We see players get away with near leg breaking challenges every week with no retrospective punishment, surely a far more serious issue... Anyway, look at goofy's teeth... if he's got the tools he may as well use them.
Thank you CB, cant disagree with anything that you say there. All I can add is that I'm glad that we didn't sign him, however many bloody goals he scores.
Does seem a shame to see them go to waste, WY!! However, as per comments in Rival thread, I do think that biting crosses a line of acceptability, regardless that the possible injury may be less significant (various potential infections notwithstanding...). There is something extreme - animalistic - about biting that surpasses other assaults.
As Defoe said, after he was shown the yellow card for "nibbling" that West Ham player, if the referee saw anything wrong with the incident he should have produced the red card. The reaction of the Chelsea player, aggressively man-handling Goofy away from him when the little twat sank his teeth into flesh, demonstrates clearly that it was a nasty, vicious attack, and nothing like the innocent prank pulled by Defoe. We must hope that the FA will come down hard on Goofy (who is a persistent offender) and make an example of him.
