Well - for once the Championship ran more to form so some very good scores here. Best - boo - by cologne who got 4 perfect, and three other correct results and scored 83 points - on his heels was OFH - also with four perfect but with 4 other correct results and scored 82. NZ valiantly holding on to 2nd spot with a creditable 74. Difficult to see cologne being beaten now but it has become a two horse race and NZ could still get there.

Where did my predictions get to? I remember doing them so they either vanished into the ether or I pressed the wrong button...

There were two or three who failed to post this week - wondered if it was people not back from Easter break (teachers mostly :) - don' tell them on the other thread i said this)

If you can indeed find a post let me know its number and I can add it in but I have to say I did not find one - even on the future postings

Interesting this school debate. My grand daughters go to a private school here which has two classes and two teachers. One class has children from three years old to seven and the other one children from eight to eleven. The teachers arrive at 8.00am to take in the ones who have parents who need to drop them off to go to work. In the same way they are in school until 6.00pm for the same reason. They supervise the kids at lunchtime when they all go down the road for lunch, and during mid morning and afternoon breaks. School itself is from 9.00am until midday then 2.00pm until 4.30pm

Wednesday is a day without school for the children, but the teachers have their planning , marking and preparation day. The government now wants them to do Saturday mornings with the children as well. Some parts of the country have adopted it, but others have not due mainly to parent pressure. Teachers here are employed by government and have to go where they are told. The result is that a popular teacher can be here for two or three years, then moved to any part of the country having no say in the matter. To actually be in the position where you can have a say, means being employed continuously for ten years, and then it is not certain.

Holidays are eight weeks in the summer, two weeks around New Year, two weeks for sking etc, two weeks around Easter and two weeks around Rememberance Day. Once again the government wants to cut the summer holiday to six weeks. Although this is a private school, the state ones run in a similar way.

The comparisons between a French village school and an English one where I had a lot of contact, suggests to me that the French teachers have longer holidays but a harder time in school. Even a small school in Northants had classroom assistants, playground supervisors and dinner ladies to give the teachers a hand.

OK - some good scores this week with 6 of US - yes that is an "us" there getting Watford's 2-1 correct. Top scorer was Hackney who did not get Watford correct but did get four others including one uniqure correct result and moves him up to 6th. NZ did not close the gap on Cologne though so it looks like it is not going to be a surprise finish. However only 38 points separate 2nd from fifth place so we seem to be mirroring the Championship with the Champion elect but 2nd place still up for grabs.

If you're going to give the same prediction every week then have a look at our most common scoreline home and away and try that (although that may not work if we're promoted :) )
