Yeah it started as Communist but like most Communist states the whole equal rights for all thing gets thrown out the window in favour of a leadership cult and a fear of freedom of speech. It's funny how completely different being Centre-left is to being Extreme-left. Commies seem to have more in common with Fascism than Socialism, despite claiming to be Socialist.

Cuba never stood a chance because of US meddling. There's even a McDonald's in Hanoi. It's a pretty decent form of Socialism in India.
