I live in Old Costessey in a 5 bedroom fully detached house. Never seen anything like what your describing. I see you do not live in Ipswich, if you did you would realise that Costessey is quite nice compared.
Student life, mate, gotta admit I loved living there, it was sort of similar to the Chantry in Ipswich where I grew up, but without the class... And don't call me Shirley...
I think after today it pretty much means that none of the East Anglian clubs will get relegated...Well apart from Peterborough but who gives a **** about them any way!
Are you asking us to be jealous of your situation? Wow. lets think about that. You're six points off the relegation spots of the championship. We're seven points off the relegation spots for the PL. In the last financial year (2012) your debt increased to 79 million, and your wages-to-turnover ratio was one of the highest in the Championship at 119%. In the last financial year (2012) our debt was nil. We had 1 million in the bank, and our wages-to-turnover ratio was the lowest in the PL at 49%. In 2012 you received around 2.3 million in TV revenues. In 2012 we received around 46 million in TV revenues. Sure the amounts of money are vastly different, but its not just a case of haves and have nots. Its terrible money management too. Consider this. In 2012 you lost 16 million to finish 15th in the championship. In 2011 we lost 7 million to finish 2nd in the championship and get promoted. Imagine how your debt has grown this year. The risk of you simply not being a club any more is worryingly real. We are on the firmest ground we (and indeed most in the entire FL) have been on for a while. seriously, how do you see the ipswich situation ending? Are you confident of promotion in the next few years? What is the realistic end game if not?
What a load of ****, your obviously an accountant, not a proper football fan, your post should be used as a homeopathic replacement for mogadon or temazepam.
I was hoping that you wouldn't reply to him Welly because we are going to get a 5,000 word post from him now to explain it all in even greater detail Yawwnnnnnnnnnnnn!
no you're right, not the right time or place, and reading it back, fairly dry reading. I appreciate that being an Ipswich WUM around here is hard enough these days without the grim realities of your present predicament getting in the way!
Only watching your team win just 2 games out of the last 17 is a pretty grim reality but I suppose your spreadsheets keep you happy!
Only a twat would post such ****... Where's Beefy? He's been on the beers tonight and should be up for some proper banter.
I work with a Wigan fan who would sell his Granny to win the F A cup and very happily go down as an acceptable trade. I suspect at odds with the Board and management of the club he supports - but also a nice bloke and wishes us health and safety - cannot say fairer than that!
