like inzaghi, cisse was born offside!

I dont think Cisse is ****. I know people are frustrated with him contanatly being offside but id be more annoyed if he was fannying about in the center circle (like Ameobi) when we attack and then theres no one in the box.
Hes been unlucky, ive seen a canny few decisions this season where he has been wrongly flagged or our midfield hasnt released the ball quick enough.
from the few opportunities hes had to put the ball away hes done top notch.

Anyone who scores 13 goals in 14 games, including a 6 game scoring streak, which saw him score 3 consecutive braces just isn't a **** striker...

Missed chances again well done cisse

QUOTE=Tash Heisenberg;4608985]So, I hear a lot of people talk about how **** Cisse is because he has to miss 2/3 chances at least before he scores.

But recently, he has been scoring in most of his matches. He had a good goal disallowed vs Sunderland.

Since mid december, his goals/game ratio is around 1 in 2 in all competitions.

The reason strikers like Cisse get so much stick is because they constantly get themselves in good positions, ones which most strikers wouldn't get into.

So Cisse has done well to even get most of his chances that he misses.

However, if he has one of those games where he's basically a passenger, and gets one single chance, he usually puts it away.

So the guy isn't a player that's gonna get hat ricks, but he will score you 15-20 goals in a season.

However, I do see him scoring more than one goal in a game if we get him a strike partner. Ba and Cisse are two good strikers, but they couldn't play together. And Cisse is usually anonymous if up by himself.

Cisse could use a good partner to make space for him and feed him chances and support him.

If we got someone like Carroll, Cisse would have even more space to work with, and balls being dropped near for him to hit first time.[/QUOTE]

I think he has a distinct lack of intelligence. He has natural ability, but nothing upstairs, and today was another nail in that particular conclusion <ok>

You're going to be offside a lot if you play in the fine margins he plays in. If he didn't play like that then he'd never score goals like he did against Anzhi and stoke, he's always on the shoulder of the last defender.

His movement is brilliant, and without his goals and assists since jan, we'd have been relegated and out of europe much more quickly.

Can't believe he's the scapegoat when there are so many of our players playing worse at the mo. cabaye, Taylor and sissoko have been terrible last few weeks but get away with it as they're "fan favourites".

Replace Taylor with Mbiwa and you might have a point <ok>

Saylor's been fine, with just the one bad game that everyone was terrible in.

His movement is ok, but it's not brilliant. He has no sense of timing whatsoever, he just makes the right runs. One without the other leads to many frustrated fans!

I don't agree with scape-goating, though. Near enough every player has disgusted me this season <laugh>

It was Bobby Charlton (I think) who said something like he never minded the wild misses that ended up in the top row of the stand cos it was one less shot to go until the next top corner screamer. We have to accept with Cisse that he will miss a few on his way to scoring a fair few too.

I don't think anyone would mind if he stuck away the bread and butter chances. He's better than Messi, to the worst player to have kicked a ball in the history of the world, in less than 1 second...

I think we should play anybody else upfront (no seriously, anybody), and then if we're one or two down, that's when we deploy the wandering maverick!

Indeed. The lad was an absolute disgrace in the 2nd half. I've saying he was flat through tiredness but today he just didn't try.

Didn't Taylor miss an easy chance and get turned easily for the goal? Yes I agree he didn't have a good game today but he has done well for us since he arrived and will do better next year.

2010 the fact our goal keeper cant catch a ball is a bigger issue for me and also the fact Pardew would only drop Cisse for Ameobi makes me think it's better to point elsewhere.

Lets face it if it were not for Cisse we would be at least 3 points worse off by now

Absolute surrender monkey yesterday too! Him and Mbiwa were feeble in their mental approach to the 2nd half. I'm still pissed at them. Bastards. <grr> Hurt the team no end. Bastards. :emoticon-0121-angry

Have I conveyed my displeasure with their super heartless effort?

Cisse isn't ****. He was played out on the wing for the first part of the season because Pardew didn't have the balls to stand up to Demba Ba.

Since he was moved back to the middle he has had to play as a lone striker and feed on scraps for the most part. It's Pardew's crappy tactics that are causing problems. We have players who can pass the ball on the ground and could potentially open teams up with free flowing attacking play. What does the West Ham reject do? Gets them to sit in the middle and hoof the ball forward.

exactly Pardew has ruined his self belief playing him out of position for months.

Ba was always going to leave because of that release clause. He should have left Cisse in the middle instead of hoping that giving what he wanted, Ba would stay.

Simply not true we've played some lovely football since the new lads came from January. Yesterday we were excellent first half, played good passing football. Then our centre halfs bottled it, sat on the edge of the box, created massive gaps between defence and midfield, and midfield and attack, which resulted in, as it always does, long balls and panic football. He is not setting up to play long ball, that much is clear.
