Just got in from work. Important not to lose...a valuable point, 8 points above 18th, and a clean sheet. Other results went against us, but Wigan lost. Getting close below us now....wouldn't like to guess our final league position, but I doubt we'll sink much as we are consistent.
If you disagree then state your case, but you're not giving a very good example of positivity by having a dig at me.
Good point for us and you guys. though would have been nice to see a few goals... good luck for rest of the season
Oh poor mr football, is everybody having a dig at you ? Its probably because of your overbearing superior attitude on this site. As for your comment thats Saints would have been well beaten - well if Mayuka had scored right at the end then Swansea would have been beaten - but thats football, mr football. Lighten up !
Well dman I have to say I'm seeing an improvement from you, that diatribe was at least delivered with some element of humour! Perhaps you can answer what exactly was wrong with what I said? Are you lot so insecure that you can't bear to hear some honest criticism occasionally? I'm happy with the point, but we were outplayed for the majority of the match and that is disappointing after our recent good form.
Normally when we start off as much on the back foot as that we lose, so I'm glad we got back into the game and got a point.
First time we have played a team playing our style of football, sometimes got abit scrappy as both teams we looking for the quick short passes and were loosing the ball. Got game to watch for a 0-0 and happy with a point
No problem with an opinion, but mix up a bit of positivity amongst the constant stream of criticism and you might get away with it. You know things like Yoshida was great today saved our bacon, Boruc did well when called upon, prolific scorer Michu barely had a sniff, you know the sort of thing.
Thanks, you have a good side and it is fortunate that we did not underestimate you, look forward to next years encounters.
Got that bang on, we can't cross the ball. Well done lads draw was a fair result. See you next season!!
To answer PSF then, I was also slightly disappointed with the performance today purely from the position that we didn't continue to progress as quickly as we have been doing, since MP has come in. It's important to separate that kind of disappointment from the disappointment of a poor performance. Today's wasn't poor because we were up against a bloody good passing team, who did to us what we often do to other teams, and we still managed to give some back. 52% possession in favour of Saints, would you believe..? Of course, it's what you do with it, and we came up a bit short in that department. Rickie was a tad off his game, and Jay Rodriquez ran his heart out, but occasionally a little aimlessly. It all got a bit crowded and muddled underfoot at times, in the final third, when Saints attacked. In contrast, Swansea seemed to know where their players were going to be a lot easier. However, I thought we outfought Swansea, when things got tough, and was slightly disappointed we didn't get more than the draw, and that's good feeling to have. You see how disappointment can be positive,,?
There's definitely some truth to that. As I said our recent good form has increased my expectations. And those who think I'm guilty of a 'constant stream of criticism' obviously don't remember the grief I got earlier in the season for being a 'happy clapper' (and you must have missed the praise I gave to Fox at half-time as well!)
Kidderminster v Stockport has been suspended because of crowd trouble Edit: Sorry, was supposed to post this in the Off-Topic thread.
