We're down, gutless performance, they all want sacking.
Good 2nd half by yourselves, auto promotion?

All is not lost, at least you have a 2 point lead over the others. Huddersfield v Barnsley on the last day may save you.

Don't know about auto promotion - will be whispering the words until next Friday at Leicester. Win that and Hull may be quaking....

Why can't you always play like you did second half? Excellent win, some very good goals, spoiled at the end by a bit of petulance from Leon Best! What's the betting the reports will all say "Watford beat ten man Blackburn?" Even though it was the last action in the game!

One other moan, when we were in the Championship in 2010, when Firstrow streamed our game it was such poor quality as to be almost unwatchable, whereas your match today was perfect definition, just like watching HD television!

I agree Dave. Spend a minute or two for the adverts to finish, go full screen and it is very good quality. I only have 2mb here, but I was able to watch the game and listen to Hornet Player at the same time.

Did nothing but 'buffering' for me <grr>

True to form it is working perfectly now - can watch Mansfield v Wrexham, if I feel inclined. :(

Hull fans clearly spent the afternoon watching Watford closely. In fact they even had a thread devoted to it.

Despite being where they are, quite a few are getting worried and even talking about missing out on promotion altogether.

The ball is still in their court, but Bruce was saying last night that the players are getting very nervous. Difficult to tell about the Watford frame of mind as Blackburn rolled over far too easily after the first goal.

I'm not worried, and I don't think the thread was down to anxiety at all. We're keeping an eye on you as we're needing to get the yellow 'P' next to our name on the Table. I don't think (though it's a distinct possibility) that you will overtake us.

Our players are nervous because a lot of them are young and not used to this situation. Chester, Hobbs, Meyler, Brady, Evans etc all in their early 20's. The only player in our squad with the experience in this type of situation is Faye as it's been shown through winning Man of the Match 2 home games in a row.

It's annoying we didn't get the three points last night, but I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say Hull City are promoted automatically. You're just delaying the inevitable.

I said to the Hull fans that most of us are pretty relaxed because whatever we do, we assume they will win one of their next two. And even if our players don't see it that way, Leicester unquestionably go into Friday's game with more riding on it than we do. Hard to be sure whether that will work to their advantage or ours, but being away to a team that must chase the game traditionally plays into our hands.

OK - this result puts us 5th at worst so we have made the play offs at least.

Automatic promotion is not in our hands so we have to hope we can beat Leicester and that Hull get no more than a point at Barnsley - unlikely twin results but possible. That would make a very interesting last day of the season.

The second half was very enjoyable. In the first half we were on top without dominating--our passing was a bit slow, and at times we got in each others way. We had two excellent chances (Forestieri and Deeney), but missing them just increased the anxiety instead of re-assuring that a goal was in the offing--yet another "one of those days?" But in the second half, once we had scored, our confidence grew and Blackburn wilted. They looked a poor side, slow in defence, no creativity going forward. They had about 5 minutes of passing football after we scored , and that was it. Our own game was fluent and effective for the second half--Chalobah had lots of space and used it, Forestieri was creative, Anya a real speedy gonzales--really no weak links . Quite a few players took knocks--hope they recover by Friday. The "back pass" incident was bizarre.

Spot on Dave, that's exactly how the BBC are reporting it.

Big difference for me was Chalobah, he had time and space and was, once again, the heart of the team. Huge sigh of relief. Blackburn were poor, but we were excellent in the second half

Well, that was just what the doctor ordered. Three well earned points and back on the scoring for fun wagon. There were some very professional performances out there today, with great shows from Deeney and Forest, Abdi had a strong game despite the blow to the face in the first half (should have been a red for the defender for violent conduct) and the defence as a whole looked strong.I have to say for an ex premiership team with such a history the Blackburn fans, players and staff are very unprofessional and sore losers. There have been reports that security staff would not let Cassetti down the tunnel at first as there was a BRFC player 'waiting' for him. Furthermore, after the match I was walking down occupation road to wait for GZ and as the away team coach drove past I raised my scarf above my head. Then one of the coaching staff stuck two fingers up at me. What I did probably was a bit childish and provocative, but I do it to every away team, win, lose or draw. Most tend to ignore it and a few have been known to give a clap. But this is just unacceptable, they were a violent and dirty team all game and they deserve to be relegated!

    Happy days, a big win.

Now, now, are we back on track? Form into the playoffs?

I am just happy for 3 points.

A win on Friday will really put the ball into Hull's court. Let's hope we can at least make them worry come their kick-off next Saturday.

    COYH !!

Just seen the 4 goals, hard to believe that Blackburn were a premiership club last season
A great win for you though

Good win and as I suspected once we scored all the tension lifted and good to see us taking a pot at goal rather than trying to "walk it in." Some strange decisions from the ref yesterday, the back-pass was a joke and at one point he started to indicate a throw-in when the ball had not gone out and the linno had not flagged <yikes> - and once again we see a ref take his eye off of the game and stuck on the ball. He missed Cassetti getting elbowed 3 times and when he finally gave a bit back to Best he did not like it...

Good win yesterday. Blackburn were technically poor if physically... er, robust? No, just downright filthy! A few teams have had a go at kicking us off the park but Blackburn used their elbows pretty effectively and no thanks to the officials for another all-seeing do-nothing performance and zip protection for the team trying to play football. As to the backpass, Almunia was either unsighted or he needs to learn the laws! Either way the ref was right though had Blackburn scored from the freekick that would have made it all interesting. The first half was turgid at best, the second produced some scintillating play.

Moving on to Briggs introduction... was he boooed or was it a collective 'oooh' from the Rookery? Either way it was easy to see what he thought of it by his goal celebration. Disappointing from the fans in the first place, I do not think we will be getting him permanently (if he was available), he is - despite the occasional error - a very, very good young player. Not as good as some, Chalobah is an exceptional talent, but certainly worthy of serious consideration and much better treatment from the fans.

I have a sneaking suspicion that he was not paying attention or that he was confused. Normally the opposition player would give it straight back to the keeper, and so Manuel might have been expecting that.

The ref made some barmy decisions, like trying to give the throw in before the linesman, ignoring Abdi, who was flat on the floor, not a yard from the linesman with a bloody nose. But for once it did not cost us the game.
