I think they were over confident towards the end of last year knowing they had the fastest car. Probably became arrogant which resulted in poor judgement both in terms of the car and driver negotiations.

McLaren really in trouble here, not good for Mercedes either who barely improved on the medium tyre.

Grid penalty for Lewis :(. The weekend gets even harder for him. Still, should be a great battle for pole. Going for Alonso.

They just showed it on Sky, tyre delaminated and ****ed the whole suspension and gearbox so the tyres effectively caused it. 4th or 5th delamination of the season so far. If this keeps happening Merc and Red Bull will have real grounds for pushing for the tyres to be changed, they're unsafe.

    His car disintegrated apparently.
And he needed a gearbox change. Maybe Bridgestones were boring but atleast they were safe.

I thought the McLaren struggled with mechanical grip, not aero grip? Jesus, how bad is this car?

Can't see beyond Alonso for pole. Vettel nowhere near him even on the softer tyres.

don't really think its fair that hamilton gets a grid penalty for a failure not caused by his or mercedes fault. maybe a rule change is needed in regards to the tyres causing damage to the car.
