If we lost all 5 games, Wigan would need to win 3/6 games (providing we didn't ruin our GD). That's not even allowing for the other teams. And I doubt we won't win at least one of our games.
I'm still the ever pessimist, and i'm still not convinced we're safe - not yet anyway. However, it's nice when those below us keep dropping points. Only problem is - the gap between us and those below never seems to widen... Maybe it's just my imagination!
On the predictor thing, I have Saints finishing 8th on 48 points, with Sunderland being the 3rd relegated team. Probably a bit too optimistic! Basically, losing to Spurs, drawing at Sunderland and winning the rest.
I was more optimistic- saints 7th stoke to take the 3rd rele spot. One can dream. I then had a bit of a play and made reading stay up, relegating stoke and spam. Would make for a better league next year.
The more I read Tony Pulis quotes, the more I think that it will be Stoke taking the last relegation spot. "We have got five games, five throws of the dice to get the six points we need." Its like he has based this relegation battle on one giant slice of luck. Very strange. I wonder if Ant will be in the stands for the last game of the season? -Not like he has anything better to do!
Sky haven't included us in relegation talk for a couple of weeks. Interesting how only Villa and Wigan have any kind of form...didn't realise how poorly the others are doing as I have mainly beein concentrating on the bottom 3/4.
Well it's not all of them failing to win a match it's just one of them. The odds of one of the contenders for 18th failing to win one are probably about one in three.
"Forgotten how to win: The Canaries have only won one of their last 16 Premier League games, drawing seven and losing eight". Wow, that's got to be worrying for them.
I think I might wait until a bit closer to the deadline, but at the moment it's probably going to be Cork for me ...
I predicted the same Saints results as you, but had us in 9th position. Also, my predictions had us relegating Stoke on the final day.
I played the predictor last night and I had stoke going down only because we beat them and Wigan beat villa on the last day to jump three or four places to 41 points. I had Newcastle on 39 points staying up by one point! Not that I did it for this reason as I have no concerns, but we finished 11th on 45 points. I did the prediction trying to put my Wigan supporting wife at ease and got a rollicking for leaving their survival til the last day ... just can't please some people.
Quite a bit I would have said.Pretty much agree with it all.My only provisos are that Stoke look so bad and Villa have such difficult fixtures.
