Of course it is moot The issue is that in all previous meeting everyone was or seemed to be content and heading towards reconstruction To break ranks when all that is left is the vote is unexpected and I would say "last minute" as there was no time left for thinking up another league structure/voting issues. One week or even two weeks before the vote was not enough time, especially when 10 of 12 were convinced of the merits of 12-12-18 to start over again It's been a waste of everyone's time
MacGregor told BBC Scotland: "I'm not going to say what decision we've reached until I tell the meeting on Monday, that's only fair. "I'm an optimist though and I don't we see why we can't compromise." I can only assume you can't read and are also suggesting Milne, Lawell and the other 8 SPL Chairmen are likewise talking nonsense. Unless i'm mistaken were some of these Chairmen were furious? Why were they furious? You are saying it's because they never got what they wanted. Well if they knew the vote was going to be NO before they started the talks why would they be so angry? It's much more likely they were somehow misled as to the voting intentions of the two clubs, that's what they have said and i'm not in the slightest bit interested in your opinion, especially when it is at odds with that of the people who actually know what happened before and during the vote.
Exactly, mindy sounds more upset than that Aberdeen walloper! Also, if everything was as set in stone as its being made out here then why the need for the second meeting/vote? Why not just wrap it up when they were all in agreement at a previous meeting? Regarding the "going in with an open mind and looking for compromise" maybe that was shat on by mr Lawell and his patronising piece in the paper saying how Ross county were just new and should listen to them? If anything, Ross county probably had the most to gain as they are most likely to bounce from spl-div1-spl etc
No one said it was set in stone Chapper, and there is a procedure for these sorts of meetings, you simply cannot have a vote when it suits, it has to be on the agenda for that meeting. As for Lawell's comments, I genuinely have not read what he is supposed to have said (Feel free to show me) but I doubt it was as sanctimonious or patronising as people have made out, even if it was then you must believe that Ross County voted against in a fit of pique. Hardly surprising then that other chairmen were so angry.
I just happened to be checking out the football articles and thought I'd share this from gilmour http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/st-mirren-chief-stewart-gilmour-1838779 Always nice to get the other side of the story, cleared up a few things too.
FFS It was in the papers before the meeting took place. I knew it, you knew it, I'm pretty sure all the people iin that meeting knew it. I've asked this before, what is the matter with you?
And what is the matter with you ******? 10 SPL Chairmen say it came as a shock, and they unlike you, were at the meeting. Don't argue with me and tell me i'm wrong, take out your ire on the 10 liars (according to you). ****ing idiot.
That's not anger, i'm treating him with contempt same as I do all oafs, that's why I treat you the way you deserve to be treated, like a belligerent puppy who keeps ****ting the floor. If I talk down to you it's not through anger, it's simple contempt.
