laudrup thinks he is a striker and a midfielder or why would he play him there.......he is good and thats all and like i said may have potential to become great one day but not with a club like us....there must be many strikers who are above him in skill alone.....well obviously there are or he would have had a mention.....

Couple of points, Mikra. Firstly, I don't think many of us necessarily believe that Michu should actually win the award. However, the fact that he wasn't even nominated is ridiculous. The same goes for Ben. Now, you compared him with other STRIKERS. The thing is, Michu isn't a striker. He is predominantly an attacking midfielder, which makes his goal scoring feats all the more remarkable. True, he has played up front and got a couple of goals there. But he doesn't like playing there, much preferring his midfield role. The fact that he has agreed to play up front at Laudrup's behest, is further testament to his qualities as a team player. He's not happy up front, scores most of his goals coming late from midfield but is prepared to sacrifice his preference for the good of the team. Can't knock that. The three players you mentioned namely, Hernandez, Aguero and Lukaku are specialist strikers. They do little else. Yet Michu has outscored the lot of them playing mainly from midfield and he does work hard there; and let's not forget that his transfer fee was but a token compared to what the others cost - Hernandez £8 million?: Aguero £35 million and Lukaku £18 million. They might be better players than Michu but he represents far and away the best value for money. By the way, he's not "only a goal scorer" as you say. I have watched every minute of every Swans' game and, whilst he might not figure in any official lists, take my word that Michu does have assists to his name. He puts in quite a shift in midfield.

Trundle- Thank you for your concerns but sometimes colourful language needs to be used and sometimes people need to be put firmly in their place. As you know im not that way inclined normally but with such complete and utter harsh drivel being written then its only fair that fire gets met with fire. This isnt about a different point of view,we all have them and support our view point with objective,informed comments, none of us are ever 100% right but its what we beleive to be true..how can anyone possibly beleive us to be **** this season ?? that is the work of a WUM not a supporter or a person that has strong views. The likes of myself,Ivor and a few others are often very harsh and objective about the team,manager and induviduals but we back it up with logic! "why were we **** at the back?"
