Ridiculous that Michu didn't even get a nomination.

I was not expecting michu to get a mention but Davies has to be in the top 3 as young player of the year.....mind you our past results has not done them any favors anyway.....people only remember winners and we have not exactly been doing that for a long while.....the league cup is great but we only beat a league two side after all....

Quite obviously, the panel has its collective head up its arse. It's pathetic and the sad thing is, they think that no one will notice their tunnel-visioned bias. I hope that Michu and young Ben have noticed and will use the remainder of the season to ram their opinions down their throats.

We had to beat Liverpool at Anfield and knock out the reigning European Champions over two legs WITHOUT CONCEDING A GOAL to earn the right to do that. Selective memory you have there, Dai.

I believe it's actually voted for by the players themselves so there is no panel as such to blame.

Just shows unless your playing for a top side you have no chance, what a load of rubbish!

It doesn't make it any less elitist if the nominations come from the players, they are what makes the PFA. It still highlights the amazing coincidence that the most votes goes to those who play in the Champions League regardless of how well they have or haven't played.

Bradford beat premiership sides too.....we had a good run and we were the premiership side....so fair play to Bradford for getting to the final but they were never going to beat any premiership side on a perfect pitch like wembley....It was a walk over and the most one sided game in a final that has ever been...i cant think of any other finals that were so one sided.....

To be fair: Michu doesn't deserve to be player of the year:

*he hasn't been consistent enough in his goalscoring
*he's not close to be league top-scorer
    *he's "only" a goalscorer - he doesn't even feature on the assist-list.

He's definately bargain of the year and the best buy for money, and, obviously, crucial to the way Swansea plays...

He got mention earlier this season as bargain of the year - should be enough in my opinion. Swansea aren't part of the top teams, and Michu honestly is a top 5 striker, not top 2.
If you ask Laudrup he'd swap him for Javier Hernández, Aguero or even Lukaku without blinking his eye.
They didn't get mention either, but are all 3 clearly better players...

But Michu isn't a center forward - he's a midfield player playing as a false 9, which is really not his best role.

good post mikaraswan. you are correct there......Michu has done remarkably well for a player who was virtually unknown for his striker abilities but i agree he is not in the same class as some of the strikers mentioned, He has the potential that nobody can deny but he needs to be at a big club to achieve greatness, whether anyone is tempted to give him a try then i dont know....trundle was just as good if not a better player and is a shame he never started his footballing career as a youngster instead of his mid twenties......I hope he gets the chance to play for a big club other than a club of our caliber....

I don't get it - so what - you want him back in DM position, to stop scoring goals or to recieve extra praise? As I mentioned earlier on he's crucial for Swansea, currently no.9 in the PL. Compared to fx van Persie for manu who CAN manage to win the PL even when he has a down(who used to be a winger)...

Michu is joint 3rd... not 9th.

EDIT: Wait, see what you are saying there but the best player doesn't necessarily have to be on the top team. And he has been on the best 6 players this season. I doubt he would have won it, but he should have been on the short list.

There are plenty of horrible ****s out there who cant wait to have a dig at our fine club so why the **** are you, an alleged Swansea Jack happy to keep kicking the club in the bollocks every chance you get ??

I find your comments offensive ,they are not fact or even an opinion they are a rambling of a bitter sounding **** who seems gutted the Swans are doing well <ok>

You are not getting what yankee is saying. Michu is not a centre forward. he has played there for some of the games this year> he was signed as an attacking midfield player. But because of circumstances he has had to play as a loan striker. So, he has contibuted and scored a lot of his goals from midfield not as a no. 9. In fact as a midfield player he has scored as many goals as Bale, more than hazard and mata.
