What a prick, if he just bit his tongue and got on with it that poor lass wouldn't have gone through it twice. Sounds like it was an open and shut case. Bellend. Flip side, another dirty rapist behind bars.
I'm referring to the juror. obviously, the person was guilty but to say you can't give someone a fair trial because of football is just ridiculous.
If the OP is really trying to use a case of RAPE to score SAFC/NUFC banter points then he is one sick ****. I would hope he is merely passing on a local news story though.
Think the OP is just saying the guys reaction to getting beat in the derby was to wreck a rape trial because they had lost. Obviously a worse reaction than punching the horse and I don't think he is trying to score points.
I agree with the OP I think, a football match should not cloud a jurors opinion, whoever it is between, surely the jury is picked on merit and the ability to come to a massive life changing decision, if this individual felt he could no longer be impartial then it is a damnation on his character, nowt to do with who he supports imho
Nice of you to make up your mind on me without actually reading my posts. If you had read the follow up post I was trying to make a point that football should not be brought into this case. Nothing, at all, to do with SAFC V NUFC. I would have posted the same if it had been the other way round. This is more an observation on society, just the same with the horse whisperer - using football as a means to act like an idiot. I think that those comments do have a place on this forum
The juror actually done the right thing , if it was possibly for the wrong motives. You are entitled to an unbiased fair trial , unless you get 'stitched up' of course. Therefore, the judge is actually right to dismiss the jury as the juror has openly highlighted his prejudices, prejudices that we all have to some extent. The original poster was it seems just making a point regarding the rivalry and was in no way commenting on the rights and wrongs of the case, ACS.
