I see Arsenal beating Norwich to then move up to 3rd spot. Spurs are the team who must be feeling the worst. Our win at Sunderland was really crucial. If we beat Fulham and Liverpool away then we are 6 points ahead of Spurs if they can't beat City and even then we would still have a game in hand... Arsenal and Chelsea looking the best for the top 4 at the moment but it can all change
As you say Bucks there's so many ifs and buts but it's back in Arsenal and Chelsea's hands (both of whom are in a rich vein of form and playing with confidence) which can't be good for Spurs. If Chelsea and Arsenal win on Wednesday I think they'll get top 4.
This will be their last chance to beat us now the league's bringing in goal line technology and ffp <run>
Normally I'm pretty confident with you at home and should be since Bale could be out (what's the news on him by the way?). But we're a bit inconsistent at the moment so anything's possible.
Unless he gets re injured he'll definitely be back by the time we face you. AVB was hoping both he and Lennon would be back for this weekend but until his press conference I don't think anything certain will be known about their recovery. We usually release training pictures during the week though so if he's in one of those photos it would indicate he will probably start.
In theory a midweek night game should work in our favour but in practice I don't think we've won any. Lost to QPR, drew to Southampton, drew to Reading. Could be an interesting game if Spurs pick up form but don't be surprised if either Chelsea or Spurs collapse in form before them rendering the game meaningless from a points perspective. Good chance to do another league double over Spurs anyway
Big weekend coming up. I've seen nothing from Spurs to suggest they are capable of beating Man City, with or without Bale. City are a side that have not lost to anyone in the top 10 away from home bar Everton. They are very difficult to beat and if they play to their potential they should win by the odd goal or two. Again with Fulham, nothing to me suggests they are capable of getting anything off Arsenal. Arsenal will overrun their ageing midfield and sadly I see them winning quite comfortably. Our only hope is if Berbatov has a worldy and Fulham actually learn to defend at home. Liverpool generally speaking do not beat top sides, if we can defend properly I expect a draw but I put a loss purely because Anfield is somewhat of a bogey ground for us in the League. If results go as expected I expect it to look like this after the weekend 3. Arsenal 63 4. Chelsea 62 5. Spurs 58
Agreed but end of the season always throws up some crazy results. Wouldn't put it past Spurs or Fulham to win. Likewise our game is a flip of the coin affair. 3 draws would do nicely!!
Liverpool could not even beat Reading. I think this is a good opprtunity to improve your ordinary record at Anfield. I think you will win it but I see us and Spuds both dropping points this weekend.
I guess we'll find out soon enough!! Spurs and Fulham are both at home, most teams in the P.L on their day can win at home against anyone. Southampton beat us and City, Norwich beat United etc. Spurs won at Old Toilet this season, no reason why they can't beat a lower placed team at home. I expect Arsenal to win and Spurs not to beat City; but stranger things have happened.
I think Liverpool will try a little harder against us than they did against Reading. That's Liverpool all over, crap against the weaker teams.
