Why not stick Brady up front and Rossie at LWB. Brady would run them ragged and can score with either foot. Just a thought.
Im new to the board so don't slate me straight away ha ha but i am sure Steve Bruce said at the beginning of the season it would take time for big proz to settle in and related to another player who he brought in whilst at Wigan. he mentioned Figueroa and said he didn't play a first team game for 8 months before making the first team fold and now he is like a rock in defence for them and highly rated so i hope this can be the same with prozzy as do most i imagine
Bruce did say it will take time, even if he didn't City fans should understand that it will take time. Players from foreign leagues are hardly ever a hit straight away, people need to be patient. He would of been playing up top with Fryatt all season if he was fit.
I've got a really controversial suggestion. Why not stick with a guy who works his socks off for the team and holds the ball up brilliantly, and who should have started against Wolves, and but for a few millimetres would have equalised against Wolves? Crazy idea, huh? Then just behind him have another who works his socks off and has an eye - one eye - for goal. Then instead of bonkers ideas like playing Brady up front you can play him in the position where he's tormented teams all season - at left wing-back. I'm sure Bruce won't read the rubbish on this thread. I hope not anyway. Leave Prossy on the bench or dressing room, and only bring Fryatt on for last 20 minutes once one of our most skilful players - Jay Simpson - has run them ragged. If ain't broke don't try to fix it.
I'd like to see Chester and Hobbs get a go up front, simmo, quinniesta and proschwitz should be able to keep Bristol at bay at centerback. I'd also play elmo meyler and Rosie across the middle to add some height and plat Brady at right wing back with Fathi on the left. This way we'd have lots of aerial threat down the middle for Brady and Fathi to launch huge in swinging balls at while the back 3 is quick and good on the ball and able to create from lying deep on the pitch. Hope brucè reads this bollocks.
2nd in the table, six points clear. How on earth can that be described as "broke". If there was any mistake in team selection against Wolves it was starting Koren instead of Simpson, but I can understand why Bruce did it because Koren played a wonderful sub's role against Ipswich. But Koren is out for tonight, so just play the same team, swapping Simpson for Koren, with Fryatt as the dry gunpowder on the bench for the last 20 minutes. Simples.
Yes well that's about as sensible as Swan's HDM suggestion to start our 'worse than Nick Deacy' German so-called striker.
No ones scoring goals, as much as Simpson does a job for the team he never scores. We've got nothing to lose by starting Fryatt.
Proschwitz has scored 4 goals this seasosn, Simpson has scored 7. And god I'd love to see their minutes on the pitch comparison from this season.
Proschwitz has played in 25 league games this season and he scored in one of them. People say he hasn't had a chance, that he only gets ten to twenty minutes when we're losing, but he's started five games and looked utter ****e in five of them and the only game he was any good in was Ipswich, when he only came on for the last twenty minutes. He's makes Mclean look like Van Persie.
Don't quite agree there. The things we could lose by starting Fryatt: 1. His fitness in that he can't be fully match fit and if he was injured and we lost we'd be without a potentially important impact sub 2. His confidence, in that he isn't fully match fit and therefore less likely to score and more likely to get down on himself 3. The match, in that Simpson holds the ball up better, brings others into the game more and probably makes us a better overall attacking force until Fryatt is fully fit. And as for the minutes played per goal argument between Prossy and Simmo, a more valid stat would be how many points we've gained/lost in each of their game time. I suspect - and my eyes tell me - this would favour Simmo but I can't be arsed to work it out.
