I remember going to a game for the first time, and it was packed down there at Ninian, couldn't say what the game was and can't remember what the score was, but maybe we were still in the top flight then, can't say for sure though.
Like us in the last 2 years some hefty beatings against the big boys (exclude Blackpool of course). I hope history does not repeat but don't be too surprised if it does. Well done Clingo for adding your bit mate, pleased to drag you out of retirement
Couldn't resist this one! I was at all the games with my Dad the last time we were in the Top Division, although for the life of me I can't actually remember any of the games! Mind you I was only 8-9 years old at the time. The first match I can remember is the first game of 62/63 season after relegation, we drew 4-4 with Newcastle at Ninian. Looking forward to actually remembering the games this time round! Good to see you're up and about Cling.
Hello Clingo. Why am I not surprised you remember us in the top division all those years ago.... You old fart you
My dad remembers it , he was 6 at the time , he listened to the match on the radio on Tuesday , he was crying tears of joy at the end of the match .
Jees, they're all coming out of the woodwork now, Clingo, Bluescull and now Phatfrog (HT). Great to hear from you all, chaps and chapesses. Anyone for a drink at the Insole after the Bolton game?
i wouldn't mind a drink after bolton actually..although my brother is working hospitality and i might find myself in that bar
Would love to BfB however I am gracing London with my presence that weekend. Absolutely kicking myself as I also got offered tickets for Player of the Year awards. Malky in a kilt Oh well, I'm sure being stuck in Twickenham amongst 50,000 squaddies watching Army vs Navy will not be all bad
Hilts Don't forget Rudy Gestede and Joe Mason! They also got pounced upon when they popped in! Hope all is well with you Hilts.
Im good hope your well. Havent had a drink yet to celebrate promotion. Out tomorrow and I intend celebrating for the rest of the summer. If your about on a Saturday pop in the pub and Ill get you a promotion drink.
No worries. I'm off back to Aberdare to see Patty and Selma. Don't tell my mother I called her grandkids that!
PhatFrog, may I take the liberty? Oh, yes sorry...of asking why you call yourself PhatFrog? Are You overweight and from France perhaps?
Neither overweight nor from France. Family nickname given to me when I was a baby and it's stuck ever since!
