Swanny's article in the fail I think it would work? but as pointed out Fryatt looks rusty and needs more fitness to improve his sharpness. Stockdale Fathi. Chester. Hobbs. Rosenior Elmo. Meyler. Quinn. Brady Proshwitz. Fryatt. Jakupovic Faye Evans? Boyd Simmo Dawson Mcshane I would bench Boyd as swanky says I agree he looks tired he has played a **** load this season.
I'd like prozzer to play as a lone striker in a 4-5-1 Stocko Fathi Chezzy Hobbs Dawson Elmo meyler cairney Quinn Brady Proshwitz
It will be interesting what happens with Proshwitz if we go up because if you cannot get into a championship side how is he going to get into a Premier
I know for a fact Steve Bruce will never take a Scouts word for a player ever again without seeing the player himself, luckily the 3 million euros can be written off, and a few Bundesliga 2 clubs have shown an interest in taking him back, for a small fee, Bochum in Bundesliga 2, and Alemannia Aachen in Bundesliga 3
He hasn't been bad though, he just hasn't been as good as Gedo, Aluko or Boyd. They won't sell him just because he can't get in the side. At no point has he come out and said he is unhappy or wants to leave - players need time to settle in and to do that you need to play games. A few minutes here and there isn't going to help him. I've seen enough of him to suggest he's good enough, as he offers a different attacking dimension and can finish. Not getting into the side isn't necessarily a sign you aren't good enough (as weird as that sounds); look at Fathi - he was the best player in a City shirt on Tuesday night and was great against Ipswich. He's been in the squad since January and yet got his first start with four games to go. Does that make him not good enough? No. It just means that Bruce prefers other players - case and point, Alex Bruce and Jay Simpson.
Bruce thinks he's ****, he accepts that he screwed that one up and he will go in the summer. In the overall scheme of things, it didn't matter, as he did many more deals that did pay off. That's football.
" I tell ya what Rolling mate , I'll never sign another player just on the word of a scout without seeing them meself , not after the big German lad , he's worse the our Alex "
ill be very surprised if we ever see him in a City shirt ever again, to say a Manager lives and dies by his signings, Steve Bruce put his own job at risk over the trusted word of a scout
I think if Bruce truly thought he was **** he wouldn't have been in every single match day squad of the season including cup games, and he wouldn't even be getting a run out near the end or try to change things when it's going tits up. Didn't Brucey say when he first arrived something along the lines of "He'll take a while to adapt and settle in and it could be as far away as next season but when he does he will be worth the wait"? I'm sure he said something like that. I haven't given up hope of Proschwitz coming good yet, as I think he's showed he's capable of doing everything but just hasn't actually managed to really do it yet, all in one as a complete performance with consistency. One day it could just click as it so often does with things such as team sports.
prozzy was bought to play alongside fryatt..... would you play that hand or would it be a gamble? shouts goals to me
Stick him in tomorrow and if he's **** pull him off after an hour, nothing to lose and everything to gain. Simpson hasn't scored in 22 odd matches and Boyd is knackered.
Didn't realise they were interested in football, thought they just made cakes, arranged flowers and did a bit of embroidery!
