Yeah, true. I don't know if they have scouts, or they just read the gossip columns and throw their hat into the ring. Apparently Juventus are sniffing around Aguero. If they've got 45m euros spare, I'm sure they can give us 14 for Aquilani!
I'm not too fussed either way with Aquilani. I think with Lucas, Gerrard, Spearing and Meireles in the middle we are well equiped (with Shelvey also on the fringes). Gerrard and Meireles providing the attacking intent with Lucas & Spearing providing the cover behind. I'd be happy if he came back and with a decent injury free pre-season could provide something extra but if not, take the money any Italian team is willing to pay (rumours of ã12mil) and spend it in areas that desperately need strengthening.
Just been watching a few clips of him on youtube from last season, and I think he'd fit in brilliantly with the quick passing we're starting to get going now. Those of you who are doubtful, just watch the compilations of him against Ath. Madrid and Portsmouth.
i'm not too sure about shelvey at the moment....to me he looks a bit slow and ponderous. i know he's a young lad and, hopefully, he'll be more on the pace with a good pre season for the next campain. spearing a young lad too but he came in and fitted really well.
