Seems harsh. Get fouled by a Man Utd defender and get sent off for it. You might expect that kind of behaviour at Old Trafford or against a title rival like Chelsea but you can't expect to get it every time.

for a start he swung a leg at Rooney then jumped into De Gea and then got a yellow in the 2nd half which should have been his second

  3. Not having a dig, agreeing or disagreeing since I didn't watch the game, just thought you one word response wasn't much of a debate <ok>

Maybe but I just answered his question, and not saying it was a straight red as SAF is saying but 2 yellows given and no one would complain

It could easily have been a straight Red. To go in that late and that pace was out of order in my opinion.

If someone had been running in at that pace and gone in with their feet that late it wouldn't even be a debate so why does going in with your head make it better ?

At the very least it was a booking. Plus don't forget the blatent elbow on Vidic towards the end of game.

It was a dangerous challenge by Carroll. He could have hurt himself. <ok>

If he had got his head on the ball he might have died <yikes>

Must be the thought of returning to Liverpool that's pushing him to such things...

Think he was after a red then not many games left and nobody would want him. Lfc`s buying policy would probably mean they would offer Whu 17 mil to keep him.
Lfc the club that likes to keep on giving.

Before today's main event we have THFC vs Man City.

MOTD's Steve Wilson at White Hart Lane:

"One win in seven games has put them out of the top four. Tottenham have found many and varied ways of failing to qualify for the Champions League over the last few years and yet again their entry into that competition looks about as cut and dried as an Emmanuel Adebayor penalty kick."

    Bale starts.
