From The Times today: "When Cardiff take to a Premier League pitch in August there will be no suggestion that theirs is the blueprint for others to follow. Mackay came to Wales commanded to seal promotion by any means. His side as a consequence are direct and strong ,and make no bones about it. More crucially though, it is because even as the Scot has brought order to the club on the pitch, off it, they remain something of a basket case. Cardiff’s debt stands at £83.5m according to their latest accounts, and counting. It is testament to years of chasing the dream, of living beyond their means. They owe Hamman, in the guise of his Langston investment Company-some £24m.Another £40m is owed to Ting Tong Tan, who used his influence to change the clubs badge to incorporate a dragon and switch their kit from blue to red. It is easy in such circumstances to see why fan owned, frugally run Swansea are seen as an example of all that is right in football, and Cardiff, a club which mortgaged its future and then sold its soul, are the very opposite."
"Cardiff are the ones who are arrogant". The only true words written by this poster on this,or any other thread.
Ha ha your midfield is better than Swansea's ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Michu, JDG (Dutch int) ki sung the biggest player in Korea can't get in the 1st team! And finally Leon the best passer of the ball in Europe FACT Example of clueless arrogant Cardiff!
The thing is, I haven't heard of one single player in their midfield, and they're better than ours ?? Really ?? I bet Leon, JDG, Pablo, Ki and Michu must be ****ting themselves, or is that laughing their socks off ?
Can someone explain to Cardiff that they have won the championship in the football league, not the champions league!
And that sort of arrogant attitude of thinking the job is done and we will take 6 points off you and 6 points of them will send you straight to the bottom and back to the championship.........take note of qpr as they had the same attitude....Its going to be a massive ask for cardiff to stay up and the bookies already have them as favorites and they wont prove them wrong like we did if they think its going to be plain sailing......every game they play in their first ever season will be their cup final even against us on our 3rd season......
who is this Brian bloke? he from outer *****lia or something? better midfield than us - must be listening to Susan Boyle singing I Dreamed a Dream
I think Cardiff will remain in the Premiership for four seasons. Summer, autumn, winter and spring. By this time next year the whole of the Premiership will know this despicable little team and its fans for what they are.
Yet quite a few swans are ok to consider us a guaranteed 6-pointer? Fans of any team are silly to say it. Considering I know you've been a fan for longer than 2 years, this is a silly statement Dilli! You've been in the prem and got most of your players since getting there. There's probably a decent debate to be had on who had the better midfield when promoted, though. Well I'm sure I could find an abundance of clueless arrogant posts from some of your guys too, but I wont bother tarring you all with the same brush because I'm not a moron. Oh, how original. By the way, the quote from VT was: "We need to strategize well and we'd like to spend some money - maybe 20 to 25 million" "Others have spent a big amount of money and don't do well, so we will try to spend smartly." I can't see Malky spending stupidly. He's good tactically and he'll find people to fit into his system.
I hear you can get people like Floyd Mayweather for around £25m, he'd suit the Cardiff style perfectly.
Here we go, been promoted for a few days and now they have all started to return here. For the idiot to suggest that their midfield is better than ours is incredible and says it all. But it has all been said by others on here. this is why i hoped they would not get promoted. Not because it is Cardiff, but all the arrogant normally quiet ones coming over here giving it large. Where have you been for 2 years. On your side it is no where near ready for the PL. You have the investment and if MM spends correctly then who knows. But remember QPR won the league as did Reading. Both spent quite heavily but got it totally wrong and are on their way back down.
I don't know if you're referring to me because I wasn't "giving it large", but also I've posted quite a lot on your forum over the last 2 years(as well as a few other team's forums). It's just now we're coming up in more topics there's more for me to get involved in. Untwist those knickers of yours.
Cardiff have just got promoted - they're entitled to feel excited about it. I agree with those who say that spending wisely is the key, not just spending for the sake of it. Malky Mackay seems to be a young up-and-coming manager so that's in their favour. He's a bit too chopsy on the touchline for my liking judging by the recent game against Watford but maybe that's not typical. I think there's a wind of change blowing through the Premier League these days. The likes of Stoke, Sunderland, Villa and Wigan are in danger of falling out this season let alone next. Well-run clubs like Swansea, Norwich and Southampton are doing well. (I'm aware Southampton went into administration a few years ago but they seem to have turned it round.) As for Cardiff next season it's anyone's guess really but I think they will survive.
They could be the surprise package for Champions league top four spot ..2013/14 ....Bellers , Whitts , Macca, Mason, Gestede,Noon.... they cant go breaking this team up though...can they ?
"they're entitled to feel excited about it". Hi aswan,of course they are,but I would prefer they keep their excitement on their own Forum, and not clog up this one with the type of nonsense they used to post in days gone by.
