Looking at their line up, I count 5 changes in their team. I think they have their eye on our game :(

Talking of said winger and goal scoring midfielder does anyone know if Bale or Azza is fit yet?

Apparently Lennon should be back, but Bale is touch and go.

    Thanks Roo.
Makes me feel a little more confident if one of them plays.

    Where did you hear that?

I'm hoping we get some training pictures today and see them out there running.

Really hope at least one of them returns. We looks so flat in the wide areas.

    Any news on Defoe too?

But some of those 5 were to bring back first choices. Hart for Pantiloon, Garcia for Milner. Richards was brought back for game time. Good thing is he picked Tevez and Aguero (albeit only 45 mins for the latter) so they will be feeling the pace now. Tevez always covers a lot of ground and possbly he's needing a rest now. So probably Aguero and Dzeko for this weekend?

Aguero is likely to be out,he came off with a tight hamstring at half time
Likelihood will be Dzeko and Tevez to start with Carlos lying deeper

I'm not saying they were poor replacements but I'd be surprised if any of the changes made, other than Hart, started against us on Sunday. Then again Mancini's selections have often confused me this season.

Oh great, Dzeko never scores against us :emoticon-0101-sadsm

I miss the days when you had Samaras and Corradi upfront.

  10. Can't recall what the source was, but the comments I saw were based on the fact that Bale had not returned to training with the rest of the squad on Tuesday, but Lennon had.

Zero chance of Bale playing. You can't rush him back in time for this game. Chances of a win slim me thinks.

City didn't play well against Wigan. They were uncharacteristically poor at the back- Wigan should have had two goals (at least). Mancini said they were tired; I can't see then suddenly being full of beans by Sunday, especially if they take the view that they are playing for nothing more than cementing second place and want to be fit for the Cup final (I hope that's what they are thinking!).

By contrast, Spurs have had a rest, have everything to play for and don't have any other distractions. If Spurs play this game like a cup tie from the start, City can be beaten. I'm predicting a 2-2 draw, but a Spurs win is realistic if the players show the right attitude.

Good, so he should be. That's justice after that challenge against Chelsea. <ok>

My biggest single hope is that Lennon is back and healthy for the rest of the year, but I'll believe it when I see it. I know how it is with hamstrings (though I don't even really know it is a hamstring; the word was a bad knee last time he went off), and remember him playing just a couple of minutes (and amounting to a wasted selection) last time he was picked. Bale had at least the kind of sprained ankle which would keep a normal young, fit person away from competitive games for 6 weeks. Being ultrafit and with the best of modern medicine, you can hope for three or four (and that's if it wasn't a severe sprain, which looked very possible). Not two.

If neither of them play, we've got a team whose short history (1 win and two draws) indicates it can score but can't defend, because of how much the defenders have pushed up. Poor defending against City is a scary thought, but better than trying to play for a draw when we need a win.
